LOL, just because someone is farther right than the majority of participants in THIS forum does not mean they are conservative.

For the record, I've been a Maher fan for decades.

Don't forget that location also determines politics. I was considered very conservative (called liberal) in Australia. I'm a flaming libtard here though. I'm pretty confident my next move is gonna turn me conservative yet again.

I like that Maher doesn't get pigeonholed. I agree with a lot of what he says. Sometimes I disagree completely with what he says. And that is a good thing. If someone is always telling you things that you agree with, you are hearing what they want you to hear, not what you need to hear.

I get it. I get mocked pretty heavily by my core group of friends cause I'm the liberal amongst that group. I know...."get new friends". I'm too old for that and this is Oklahoma.

I've spent half my life in Los Angeles, half in Oklahoma. One thing is consistent, when a place becomes a one-party state, the residents get shafted and there's less accountability.

Probably the most real statement ever said in the politics forum.
