So the Palestinians are using their own children as human sheilds and in your twisted logic it is somehow Israel's responsibility to sort out who's who? Nobody is "OK" with it and you know it. If you didn't expect the killing of innocent civilians then you are even more naive than I thought. It's war and people are going to die. It appears that Israel is doing everything they can to spare as many civilians as possible but the terrorists are insistent on using their own women and children as cannon fodder . 2006 was 17 years ago, and Hamas has not allowed an election since. The median age in Gaza is 19 years old. That means the supermajority of todays citizens were not even elligible to vote in 2006, and ~45% were not even born yet. According to the United Nations, roughly 6,400 Palestinians and 300 Israelis had been killed in the ongoing conflict since 2008, not counting the recent fatalities.
That is because there is more propaganda and misinformation on this issue than any other in world politics today. Most people dont even understand the most basic facts about what has gone on, or the history of why we are here.
Netanyahu's goverments have killed several multiples more civilians than the Hamas terrorists did before the terrorist attacks. That has only accelerated since then.
You are not going to like this statement, but it is the truth. There are counterterrorism philosophies that are essentially state sanctioned terrorism itself. They have been the predominant conterterrorism philosophies since 2001. The proof is in the pudding and in the incredible amounts of suffering various people have gone through. The vast majority of them had no part in harboring terrorists. Collective guilt is BS. Do you see now that ultimately empowers extremists? We (the US) is incredibly guilty of this, as is Israel. They are 1a and 1b as far as things are concerned.
So the vast majority of Americans are being hoodwinked, but you, Ilan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib have figured it out?
