Queen Rania of Jordan has condemned Western media coverage of the war in Israel and Gaza, saying there is a "glaring double standard” in how it covers attacks on Palestinian and Jewish communities.
“It has been very disappointing to see the double standards in the world today, to see the strong condemnation of what happened on 7 October but very little condemnation of what is happening today,” she told CNN in an interview from Amman that aired on Tuesday.
“Why isn't there a call for an immediate ceasefire? We are seeing staggering human suffering happening today, so why is the narrative always skewed towards the Israeli side?" continued the monarch.
“We are being told that it is wrong to kill a family, an entire family at gunpoint, but it’s okay to shell them to death… . And it is just shocking to the Arab world,” she said.
She later added: “This is the first time in modern history that there is such human suffering, and the world is not even calling for a ceasefire. So the silence is deafening.”

There is not a double standard. Israel just suffered a terrorist attack equal to 38k U.S. citizen being slaughtered.“double standand”

Crisis in the Middle East & y’all are measuring peckers over Trump/Hillary. Too much to ask to keep that $#|+ where it belongs & quit spewing it everywhere?Pretty sure he knows he beat Hillary. Hillary is the only one that continues to deny this 7 years later.
Well EXCUSE me, should be in different thread.Crisis in the Middle East & y’all are measuring peckers over Trump/Hillary. Too much to ask to keep that $#|+ where it belongs & quit spewing it everywhere?

Ceasefire, great idea. That will commence immediately upon the release of Israeli civilian hostages being held by Hamas. What's that? Hamas isn't interested in releasing the hostages? Oh, well, I guess we continue. They've hoarded all the fuel supplies sent by aid groups? They dug up all the water lines that were freely given to improve sanitation conditions and made rockets out of them? I won't hold my breath that the organization responsible for those actions (and far worse) is who we're relying on for honorable negotiations in a ceasefire.Jordan's Queen Rania criticises 'double standard'

There are very few parallels between the Ukrainian Situation versus the Israeli/Palestinian situation. Saying otherwise is trying to drive a square peg into a round hole and is misguided at best.Ceasefire, great idea. If she really cares about a ceasefire, tell Hamas to return the hostages. War stops tomorrow.
This is like the same BS as Russia/Ukraine. "Why won't Ukraine agree to a ceasefire?" Literally all Russia has to do is leave and there is peace. What's that? They won't leave? Well, I guess we continue.
I’m seeing a lot of this. How do you think Israel should have responded to the Oct 7 attack? If I think that what Hamas did was horrible, but also think that Israel shouldn't be shelling civilians...does that mean I support Hamas? Because I don't really want to have to pick a side when I think killing people is just generally a bad thing.
