ICE

According to the New York Times, FBI agents had obtained a signed warrant and were prepared to photograph blood spatter and bullet holes in Renee Good’s SUV.

They were ordered to stop — including by FBI Director Kash Patel. The concern inside the administration was that a civil rights investigation could directly undercut Donald Trump’s claim that Good had “violently, willfully, and viciously” run over the ICE officer who shot her.

A key eyewitness in an ICE-involved shooting was detained by ICE in Minnesota, immediately moved to Texas, and then shuffled through three different detention facilities.
When his lawyers asked a Minnesota judge to intervene, the government’s response was essentially:
You can’t review this — he’s not in your state anymore.

Fewer than one in seven of those arrested by ICE since Donald Trump returned to office had charges or convictions for violent criminal offenses, according to the Department of Homeland Security’s own data.
