According to the New York Times, FBI agents had obtained a signed warrant and were prepared to photograph blood spatter and bullet holes in Renee Good’s SUV.
They were ordered to stop — including by FBI Director Kash Patel. The concern inside the administration was that a civil rights investigation could directly undercut Donald Trump’s claim that Good had “violently, willfully, and viciously” run over the ICE officer who shot her.
