Body cameras are such a cop out (pun intended). Without actually holding people accountable, they do nothing. In a system where people were held accountable, they might be moderately useful. But if recordings are selectively shared/saved and the perpetrator not serving time for abusing people and stepping on their constitutional rights, it really changes nothing.I'd be curious to hear how he would define that other 20%
IMO, if 80% is good for law enforcement, that leaves 20% that would be showing abuse of power/dishonesty.
20% seems like a high number for that to me, but my own eyes so far have shown that may be low...
Body cameras would not have changed the outcome of Renee Good or Alex Pretti's murder. Without citizens recording and documenting everything, they would be as memorable as Keith Porter.
