ICE

That’s why I asked. Because it kind of sounded like that was your argument. Thanks for clarifying.

As to your question to me, I haven’t seen it verified by trustworthy sources (not the government) that he DIDN’T have his ID and Permit available on him. If he didn’t, it was probably intentional. I think you are being incredibly hyperbolic with asserting that being an insane decision.
I guess it's only insane to me to consciously pack my firearm to the protest and intentionally forget to pack my permit...

Jessica Tarlov: It takes a lot to unite the NRA and Greg Abbott, and other major conservative forces against the Trump Administration. The First Amendment , the Second Amendment and Fourth Amendment have all been violated by the way that they are carrying this out.

German Chancellor Merz criticized the killing of Alex Pretti by federal agents in Minneapolis:

“I find the news we’ve been getting from the USA in the last few days indeed worrying...I have to say I find this level of use of violence in the USA worrying”

I guess it's only insane to me to consciously pack my firearm to the protest and intentionally forget to pack my permit...
If it wouldn’t have changed a thing if he had it (and we both agree that’s the case), it’s really hard to say it was insane for him not to take it.

And again, you’re making that assumption without establishing it as a fact from reliable, verifiable source.

It seems like to me you’re still struggling with how to somehow make this a “both sides are at fault/responsible” situation. This ain’t that IMO.

The Department of Justice moved to seal FBI evidence concerning the killing of 37-year-old Alex Pretti by citing an unrelated Jan. 6 rioter who had threatened agents.

Republican ex-congressman Trey Gowdy: “Kyle Rittenhouse was made a hero on the right… Alex Pretti’s gun was lawfully being carried. He never brandished it. And we certainly should not be labeling him a domestic terrorist who was going to execute cops.”

A U.S. district judge has ordered the Trump administration to respond to Minnesota's argument that Operation Metro Surge was created to "punish" the state for its sanctuary laws.

The order follows a hearing earlier Monday on Minnesota's request for a temporary restraining order to halt the Trump administration's immigration enforcement in the state.

Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty: "I had a staff member on the ground. I was working with the BCA all day. What happened at the scene was that the federal agents stood about two feet apart with large batons and they physically prevented the BCA from entering the scene ... DHS prevented them from even entering the scene with a lawfully signed, by a judge, warrant."

This morning Deputy AG Todd Blanche said the DOJ 'always investigates' shootings and would be investigating the Border Patrol killing of Alex Pretti. Last week Blanche said the DOJ would NEVER investigate the ICE fatal shooting of Renee Good.

Breaking: Republican candidate for Minnesota Governor Chris Madel drops out of the race.

“I can’t look my daughters in the eye and say I’m running as a Republican, when they’re pulling over Hispanics and Asians because of the color of the skin... I did not sign up for that.”

Chris Madel, a defense lawyer who had been running for governor of Minnesota as a Republican, said he had decided to end his campaign because he had become outraged by the Trump administration’s operation in Minneapolis, calling it “simply a disaster.”
