ICE

Trump’s regime will end at some point. He won’t live forever and his legal term in office will expire. I have agreed with a lot of his policies and while ICE is a good concept, its implementation has been a clusterf#*%k. The Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) needs to be scrapped.

Agree.

I think arresting foreign gang members that are here illegally and came here solely to commit violent crimes and/or sell drugs should be hauled off and sent back FedEx to wherever they're from.

If you have a warrant to arrest and deport "Juan Diaz" that lives on 4th street because he's in the country illegally and he traffics heroin or cocaine, etc. NO ONE would protest that.

I'm against masked assclowns lassoing up every brown person and pointing guns at anyone who questions their authority.

After the politics sway the opposite way (which they constantly do in America) it's going to a be a weird reckoning for these assclowns that told themselves they were Trump's "secret freedom army" but now realize how many menthol cigarettes their butthole is worth in prison because they didn't have any damn common sense.

The NYT video analysis above clearly shows that she was not parked but was trying to pull out to the left when other vehicles stopped her from being able to do so. She was then waving others forward in a polite manner. She was not parked.

Sorry. She was stopped for a period of time. I cannot confirm she put the gear on park.

I just saw on CBS that Ross, the shooter, was dragged by a car a few months ago and as a result he had 38 stitches. A government official says that may have made him more sensitive to thinking he might be targeted by a vehicle. If that is the case then WHY THE HELL IS HE STILL DOING THAT JOB. He should have been reassigned. Now he needs to go to prison, IMO.

Yep. If this was a PTSD issue then its a terrible but preventable tragedy. Im not using this to exonerate him in any way. He still took a life regardless of the circumstances. But if he was in a mental state where everyone in a vehicle is seen as a possible murderer then why in the world wasn't he on leave while he dealt with this? That's on his supervisors and whoever is setting policy.

WHY THE HELL IS HE STILL DOING THAT JOB

I wouldn't expect ICE to have the foresight or business acumen to deal with that type of Human Resource activity. I doubt it ever crossed their mind to reassign him.

As for him, there's massive financial incentive to remain in his position. They get a $50k signing bonus just by starting the job, which I'm pretty sure if a 6 figure gig. A $50k bonus likely comes with a stipulation to complete X amount of years or you have to pay it all back. 38 stitches isn't enough to let him legally walk. They need him on the job.

Just my take.

Agree, but was he "more sensitive" (PTSD) or was he pissed off looking to exact his revenge and she gave him the opportunity?

I can't speak for anyone else, but if I had been dragged by a car, I would be very cognizant of my surroundings and try not to put myself in that situation again. For some reason he stepped in front of the car.

ICE is doing exactly what it's supposed to do in the eyes of trump and stephen miller. Have we already forgotten they now have an ANNUAL budget of $27B? That's bigger than most of the military budgets of other countries.

This is going to get much, much worse. Especially when Ross gets no punishment for the murder he committed. What could go wrong hiring a bunch of white supremacist neo-nazi, boot licking maga loyalists with immunity from the law?

Trump et al now have a personal army with the resources to do anything they want. Prove me wrong.

ICE is Trump's brownshirts. I agree, things are just starting to kick off. It is going to get worse.

Dammit. I was hoping someone would point out something I overlooked and would change my mind. Y’all simply agreed we’re F#@&ed. Thanks a lot you BODs.

If you are looking for positive signs, the senate just checked Trump in Venezuela and the house just passed an extension to the healhcare credits. Maybe a few more will grow a spine out of self-interest and self-preservation.

I think though more and more will happen through the election at the end of the year. Its not going to go well for Trump and he will try to ignore the results, book it.

The question then becomes, what does everyone else do about it? I am not sure.

Out of the 10000 things to worry about on a daily basis, I'd put this near the top.

His supporters (and anybody who is still a part of the GOP) turn a blind eye to pedo, rape, fraud, and murder.

I truly don't believe there is a single thing he could do that would lose support, or get the GOP to turn on him.

I think you're wrong, I think a lot are turning on him. Now let's pray the democrats can find someone better than Newsom, Harris, AOC, Walz...

I know I was unclear, but it was a tongue in cheek post after JD Vance's comment.

At times, I'm gonna kinda be a little Duke-ish/BeatOUish in here if you catch my drift.
Fair enough.

I'll try to take that into account, but make no promises that I will be able to always correctly interpret when and where you are doing that.

The Dems should be able to put up a crusty sock from a teenage boys bedroom against trump and win.

Every single sane person in this country should be able to take a look at what is going on and realize the peril we're in.

I do agree the dems need a better candidate. Every single republican should be demanding somebody other than trump to represent them too. Problem is, a lot of people would still prefer to live in a fascist dictatorship than have a woman for president who laughs weird.
