If you are looking for positive signs, the senate just checked Trump in Venezuela and the house just passed an extension to the healhcare credits. Maybe a few more will grow a spine out of self-interest and self-preservation.

I think though more and more will happen through the election at the end of the year. Its not going to go well for Trump and he will try to ignore the results, book it.

The question then becomes, what does everyone else do about it? I am not sure.

I’ll take all the positive signs I can get.

Mostly, I felt I was bordering on hyperbole with my original statement. At the same time, it is honestly how I feel this is going to play out. This feels like the events are playing right into their strategy and this is about to snowball into an even bigger s$@%show. But as I wrote it, I thought, “Someone is gonna say I’m overreacting here and it’s not this bad.” As @Rob B. noted, I should know better.

And that is the problem. Trump sucks but he's better than [insert democrats in the public eye]. Your list has one guy who I think we all agree sucks, a failed presidential candidate whose biggest character defects in the eyes of some are her race and gender, a super progressive idealist who isn't taking corporate funds, and a middle of the road white guy. If you are saying a gen X D from Grand Island Nebraska and a millennial D from NYC are both unacceptable to you so you have to hold your nose and support Trump when their only common denominator is the D, who exactly do you think the party has that you will find as an acceptable alternative?

I can't speak for anyone else, but if I had been dragged by a car, I would be very cognizant of my surroundings and try not to put myself in that situation again. For some reason he stepped in front of the car.

The NYT video that Monkey posted on the previous page is a good watch.

Reports indicate this ICE agent is a 10 yr veteran of ICE. This past summer in an immigration enforcement stop he smashed the back window trying to unlock the door to apprehend a suspected illegal immigrant. The immigrant hit the gas and the agent held on. Deployed 2 tasers.

In the NYT video you can see him walk behind the deceased’s vehicle and begin videoing with his phone. He circles the vehicle still filming and walks in front of her car STILL VIDEOING. He appears to be still videoing standing less than 3 feet from the car and still has something in his left hand as he pulls and fires. Then as he’s walking to the collision he appears to be still videoing.

Then a physician on scene w hands up is seen pleading to go check the victim and is denied. Then the guy who shot gets back in the vehicle and leaves. I will admit that this is all video pieced together and could be misleading especially on the end.

I like Josh Shapiro - PA Gov, I'm open to Gretchen Witmer - Mich Gov, I think Tim Walz is cooked. Wes Moore - Maryland Gov may get some traction (he's a vet), Pritzker the gov from Illinois will get some traction because he's a good trash talker and a rich fat guy, Kamala Harris can't decide which color shoes to wear without asking her donors first. Cory Booker may make some noise, he played football and I watched a documentary he was in called Street Fight where he knocked out some real crooked NJ politicians. That version of Booker was great.

To be honest I kind of liked Vivek Ramaswamy more than most of them, but it seems the US wants nothing to do with him.

Plenty of good candidates in the Democratic Party.
Josh Gottheimer, Henry Cuellar, Jared Golden just to name a few.
Problem is none of them will be considered by DNC because they won't bow to the wishes of the puppet masters.

They are all congressman so it would be difficult for them to gain any traction. Plus Cuellar is 70-after 12 years of old man yelling at clouds that's going to be a hard pass for alot of voters. The other two-not knowing much about them I can't say how I feel but if they are unifying candidates I could get behind them.

So none of the Midwestern governors for you? And Im not talking about Waltz-I think hes done with politics after his term expires to be honest. Too many people who hate him because he was a VP candidate at one time in one party and too many in his party who are, well out there.
