If I read the comments in real time, I may have gotten sucked in as well. I’ve come to realize he isn’t being earnest. He relishes in pushing people’s buttons and getting a rise out of them. When I ignore the insults, personal attacks, and bigotry to only address the logic… he eventually stops responding so he can focus on people who are offended. Then he can claim they’re clutching at pearls, snowflakes, etc.
I’m fairly certain he thinks we’re a bunch of suckers for engaging him in honest debate, because that’s not the game he’s playing.
It is fun getting him to admit he's a bigot though, even if he won't come out and say it.
I’m just going to accuse him of think about kids and sex at the same time since he is so quick to accuse others. If he didn’t do that I probably wouldn’t have said anything.
When he was a teenager, one of my sons used to get his kicks from pushing people’s buttons the same way he does. He would never apologize or admit he was wrong. Expecting him to do so was fruitless.
I just pretend he’s my teenage son and roll my eyes. My son grew out of it. I’m not holding my breath with this guy.

my daughter has actually discussed this when talking about people saying you 'choose' a certain lifestyle...she says, "why would I choose to be gay? Why would I choose to be looked at differently, ridiculed, discriminated against, looked down on, talked about, made jokes about, made to feel 'not normal', why would I 'choose' this? It would be a hell of a lot easier to go about life as straight, but I'm not! I can't help what I feel, what I am; I struggled with it throughout my teenage years, but I realize I am gay, and I will not apologize or run from it."
So people who say others 'choose' to be gay, or transgender, or whatever, you don't have a f*&king clue what you are talking about!
I love my gay daughter, I love my straight son, I love my straight daughter, and I support anyone who has to go through life not fitting what society says they should be.
