Now you're going to have to reserve your hatred for kansas stateI have learned not to count those F%$ks as dead until the dirt is heaped upon their grave. Honestly, I'd prefer to see them take as many more Ls as they can.

A lot of our fans care a great deal about Bedlam. They just know we rarely win, so they're acting like the game "doesn't matter". Personally, I find that mindset super weak and expedient, and wish those folks would stop the charade. Bedlam matters for a variety of reasons, and it will be impossible to replicate any time soon (for both teams).I mean okay but so far this season bedlam was the most watched game Osu was a part of. by far. and you'd have me believe kansas state moves the needle more ? bedlam had over 1.5 million more viewers than the osu kansas state game. tell me you get more satisfaction out of beating purple kansas than you do OU
I will admit if Ou didnt have texas as a rival, i'd be slightly more concerned. but they do have them every year and I can see some rivalry developing between a handful of their sec opponents in the near future so that is exciting. I'm just glad to have some fun home games for a change. it got real boring and stale hosting the likes of tech, baylor, wvu, tcu etc.
Fair assessment. Really it's probably impossible to replace an in-state rival. There is a lot I will miss about bedlam but, if it continued with both teams in different conferences, it wouldn't have the same flavor. The last 10-15 years there have been conference championship implications surruonding this game. I had a full house for this bedlam game with both sides represented. The ou fans didn't think there were that many rabid fan bases in the SEC. I grew up in SEC country and let them know Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Gerogia, LSU, Tennessee and Arkansas were all plenty rabid. In fact Baton Rouge at night will be a eye opening event (good luck and my the lord have mercy on your soul).I forgot about utah. they are a solid program and would be a nice rival. though they will always see byu as their rival, there's a lot of hatred between the two. but if the two teams compete for conference titles then a rivalry certainly can develop.
This isnt worry or concern, it's curiosity. When one of the best rivalries in the sport is broken up, it makes me wonder. Just as a football fan in general, to me, the best aspect of college football are the rivalries
3.9 million people in oklahoma, about 3.7 million people watched bedlam last week. more people watched than ND clemson. I know it's not all okies so this game has national interest as well

Think whatever you want, speaking for me only it’s God’s honest truth. Won’t miss it in the slightest.I think that's a lie. What team do you most look forward to beating? if not OU , then who ?
Bedlam is dead, the game doesn't matter anymore.A lot of our fans care a great deal about Bedlam. They just know we rarely win, so they're acting like the game "doesn't matter". I seriously doubt any new rivalry will develop the same intensity as this one has been, not any time soon, anyway.
I also think there is a pretty good chance we could face off in bowl games, which would keep it relevant.
You won't miss winning?!? So far this decade OSU has won 67% of the time!!Think whatever you want, speaking for me only it’s God’s honest truth. Won’t miss it in the slightest.
That right there is why you’re wrong. We should want to keep bedlam “just cause” but for you it’s an easy decision to dump it. Your fanbase’s circular logic is astonishing.(SIC) or staying in a mid major conference with awful matchups and keep bedlam, the choice is easy.
Winning is great. There are other games to win now. Our identity will no longer be tied to one football game a year. I’m in the camp that wants them off all sports schedules and we win the majority of those. You won't miss winning?!? So far this decade OSU has won 67% of the time!!

I'll miss their fans and a lot of the biased media losing their collective dodo every 7-8 years. It's a long con game. Let them get use to winning then - BOOM right in the arse.Winning is great. There are other games to win now. Our identity will no longer be tied to one football game a year. I’m in the camp that wants them off all sports schedules and we win the majority of those.
I won’t miss their fans misguided sense of self worth or misplaced sense of superiority at all.
I won't miss that damned song. Penalty, play the song. Someone takes a dump on the field, play the song. Venables eats a crayon, strike up the band.Winning is great. There are other games to win now. This is like saying that the death of person means that they no longer matter. While true in a sense, the loss is real. There will be lost revenue across Stillwater, Norman, and Oklahoma. College football is unique in maintaining passionate rivalries. Killing a major rivalry is bad for the sport, and we'll feel that to some extent.Bedlam is dead, the game doesn't matter anymore.
Their president is a Cowgirl. That makes them harder to hate and more so now that they look like they have returned to their true niche in life, at the bottom of the toilet bowl.If you are looking for someone to hate...Baylor is pretty easy to hate. Unless you like murderers and rapists.
Bye.If one had to choose between playing in sec and losing bedlam or staying in a mid major conference with awful matchups and keep bedlam, the choice is easy.
There's always a reason why
We are past that now.
now we are on to the future. And in the future, who will osu's rival be? what game will you most look forward to every year? I think it's a fair question and interestingly the only answer i've seen so far is kansas state. Would you say kansas state is your new premier big game?
Plus they saved my life. I am trying to like them a littleTheir president is a Cowgirl. That makes them harder to hate and more so now that they look like they have returned to their true niche in life, at the bottom of the toilet bowl.
I realize that...but much of their holier than thou fanbase, to this day, do not acknowledge any wrongdoing by Briles, Briles, Lebby, etc. They still turn my stomach. and yes I hate them no matter who their president is. Maybe years down the road I will change my tune...but I thought the same thing after Dave Bliss.Their president is a Cowgirl. That makes them harder to hate and more so now that they look like they have returned to their true niche in life, at the bottom of the toilet bowl.
