Deadlam

You lost me there. I refuse to treat this as anything more than a troll with stupid crap like this.
This is why I'll keep my shovel handy; ready to scoop that dirt to do my part to help!

Also, I made it pretty clear where I stand. I don't owe any of you or your ilk anything more. Which team(s) I look forward to beating/losing to is not your concern.
Good day sir! 🫡🖕
Troll? it's a mid major conference and we all know it. That's not a troll job, that's just the reality of things. Without OU or texas, how is the big 12 anything but another mid major? the most historically successfull programs in the new big 12 will be colorado and byu as the only programs with a title. neither of which has seen much success in decades though. besides the occasional decent 10 win season.

It is funny to me though, ive asked this question to many osu fans , both in person and on line and so far none of them have had a good answer. the best answer is kansas state and that's just sad. that's why you should want to keep bedlam. because whether you admit it or not, beating OU feels better than beating anyone else. but instead of exploring this new reality, you just get in your feelings.

Bye.

Don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split you.

Hope you enjoy all that money and middling SEC.
Cool stuff.

But back to my question- I think it's a fair question and interestingly the only answer i've seen so far is kansas state. Would you say kansas state is your new premier big game? if so, i can see why you wouldnt admit it. who would actually admit they look forward to games vs purple kansas? i know ive always always always ALWAYS looked forward to playing osu and texas. no other teams even come close. not remotely close.

That right there is why you’re wrong. We should want to keep bedlam “just cause” but for you it’s an easy decision to dump it. Your fanbase’s circular logic is astonishing.
Then you plainly mischaracterize my position. You should want to keep bedlam because OU is your one and only rival. And we both know rivalries are the best aspect of college football. For the same reason is why i'd keep it, because osu is a rival of OU's. not their only one but certainly moreso than any other team not named texas. america loves rivalry games. how boring is a schedule where you have no rivals? OU bounced out from the big 12 because the schedule is so boring. nobody gets up for tcu, wvu, ucf, kansas etc. it's just a boring slate of programs. I bet you dollars to donuts if sec had extended an offer to osu they'd jump all over it and say f78ck the big 12 in a second. in less than second.

America loves rivalries- hence why bedlam got more views than any game osu has been a part of this season. because not only do okies love this game, so do people around the country. and now osu has lost the most watched game of the year and replacing it with...i dunno.. ucf? cinci, houston? i guess utah might be fun. maybe utah is what you most look forward to now but there's no hatred, you wont get the same feeling out of beating them that you get out of beating a team you hate.

And NOW, now venables recruits in state talent. he's taking gundy's bread and butter, he loves his oklahoma kids and making 3 stars play like 4 stars. riley never paid a lot of attention to in state talent, not in the way venables does. in the 24 class, venables got 4 of the top 6 OK kids. gundy got 1 in the top 18.

Then look at the 25 class. look at the top 10 OKlahoma players, OU will probably get 8 of them. It's easier to talk those kids into playing sec ball over mid major big 12 ball. and osu lost an opportunity to play their instate rival every year to show these kids why pick osu over OU

Right on. but back to my point- can you tell me honestly you get more juice from beating purple kansas than OU?
I can honestly say that this year I was more pumped about K-State due to the two game losing streak. I expected that we would probably beat the goons, they have been the most fraudulent unbeaten team I have seen in some time. I thought we were headed for a dismal season and I fully expected K-State to do awful things to us. There is no doubt for the program and the season we had to beat K-State and that juiced the whole season. Sorry to burst your balloon of self importance.

You can make all the excuses you want, just like UT fans, about 'not getting up for ...', but it's nothing but a rationalization that helps you sleep at night. OU's failed to 'get up for' three games straight right now, so a rational person might actually view that as maybe they're not that good.

That's related specifically to the fact that it was an opportunity to break a 2 game losing streak and do it against a good team. less related to the fact that it was kansas state. Could have been any number of teams that would have made you pumped about it. Besides, 1.5 million more people watched bedlam than the purple kansas game.

For the record, I am not the university of Oklahoma, how you feel about them has no impact on my own self importance.

So back to my question, since you didnt really answer it. all other things equal, in any given season, can you tell me honestly you get more juice from beating purple kansas than OU? I didnt say a game you look forward to. I said a team you enjoy beating. And dont say yes just because you want to win an argument with me. just be honest.

Saying that the schedule is boring isnt an excuse, it's reality.

Iowa state, ucf, wvu, tcu. That's OU's big 12 home games, how f7ckin awful is that? who wants to go to those games? not me. i havent been to a home game in like 7 years.
Next year ; tennessee, south carolina, alabama. ALL those games are more interesting to me than all the home games OU had this year. And that'll be reflected in tv ratings.

And youd agree with me about that but youre too stubborn to admit it. And yes I sleep great at night. im excited to go to OU home games again. i havent felt that way in a while. wouldnt you be? you would and you know it. everyone likes games like that.

btw i like how you ignored the instate recruiting battles, the fact that rivalries are the coolest thing about CFB AND my question about who your rival is.

Don't bother trying to engage JD or his little gaggle. They'll respond with cute gifs, memes, reactions, and endless trite responses, but are incapable of substantive discourse. They're a pitiful group, and only interested in perpetuating their circle jerk.

You didn’t say any given season, and every season is different. I enjoy beating every team on our schedule, isn’t that the goal? I won’t miss the entitled goon fans that believe the sports universe rotates around them or conspires against them.

One last point, I’m relatively sure that quite a few national viewers tuned in to see if there’s an answer to Ollie running all over teams. He is a marquee player. I’m sorry your team is missing that, we might have gotten better ratings.

Are we really going to do this again?
Nope. I’m done. Don’t worry.

BTW, I didn’t explain why his comments were unnecessarily negative because it’s obvious and needs no explanation. He’s just gaslighting. If I explained myself, then it becomes a rabbit hole and he eventually claims we derailed the thread because we’re preoccupied with him.

That’s all I’ll say, so we can hopefully stay on track.
