Actually the ceiling raises withe 12 team playoff.

On the surface it seems that way. But in reality, the big 12 would be lucky to get more than 1 team in the 12 team field. It would go the 5 conference champions and 7 at-large bids. Osu might win big 12 occasionally but otherwise will be hoping to be one of those. which, if osu's history has anything to say about it, they would be unlikely to get one of those at-large bids except for once every 8-10 years or so.

Which hey, i guess you're right then eh? because they'd probably get to the playoff at least once every 10 years, maybe even twice assuming they win the conference occasionally . so i guess playoffs once a decade is still technically a higher ceiling than doing it 0 times in the playoff/bcs era.

Understood. People do circle the date that South Carolina comes to town, no doubt about it! Hope nobody plans a wedding that day or there'll be hell to pay for missing that colossal matchup. Imagine back to backs with Vandy or Mizzou rolling into Norman!
They do get ready for south carolina when the HC is still well received in Norman. Surely you know that Beamer was at OU for 3 years and left on good terms? I find myself pulling for him, he's (usually) easy to like.

Based on the current rotations, it doesnt appear vandy and missouri will be on their home slate at the same time.
24 will be fun- tennessee, bama, and the Beamers.

in 25 they'll host Michigan. and if the sec rotation flips for 25 then they'd host lsu, auburn, missouri and mississippi too. tell me that's not more exciting than any big 12 schedule they'd have had.

Yes, we're aware.
Excellent. and next year, lsu they lose their qb who made them so dangerous.
auburn is plain bad.
missouri is on the come up but dont know if that can be maintained yet.
tennessee, well, they just showed how beatable they are & they'll have a new freshman qb.
mississippi could be a problem.
south carolina isnt good either
bama is bama

At least OU gets to play a big 12 team next year.

So you are saying you had an easy schedule other than Texas (who both ok teams beat regularly) Kansas and OSU ?

I agreed with you 8 pages back on this thread.

Using the current conference schedule as a means to minimize failures against said schedule is what you and UT fans have been doing for two years now, and it's utter crap and excuse making.

Lastly, simply being in the SEC and being 'excited' about those matchups has zero correlation to future success. Ask Auburn.

The only two sec teams that could win the big12 are you know who. Other than those two, the sec is a cake walk

Yes, i understand the lack of correlation of excitement with success here.

The correlation to success comes from recruiting and development, not from my excitement. But we both knew that.

Can you explain what you mean by "Using the current conference schedule as a means to minimize failures against said schedule is what you and UT fans have been doing for two years now, and it's utter crap and excuse making." I am not sure what you are getting at here.

Hmm, no im saying that next year's schedule isnt as hard as it seems at first glance. I then listed a few reasons as to why
I actually agree with you. And Alabama is about to be back down to nothingness because saban isn’t going to coach for many more years

I'll wait until he actually retires and his replacement sucks before going that far. they could probably coast for a couple years with your average high school coach right now, with the raw talent they have
