Give me a system in which football is completely separate from everything else for both conference and division.

I got all the way to the part where Greg Sankey tried to paint himself as the "aw shucks, I tried to stop this" good guy. Then I quit.
Reminded me of the whole Texas-Nebraska scenario.
If you didn't read further, it gets into how the SEC & B1G put out the notion that they might split off on their own 2 days before the meetings began in February.
That sounds almost like selling your soul to the devil. Why even involve a university at that point? It might as well announce itself as a developmental league for the NFL or even as a competitor.
I view it as a positive. It will help us hold serve with the SEC and Big 10 funding.

Being proactive is always better than inaction. That is what got this conference into this mess.
The Big12 doing this will not change if the B1G/SEC will do the same. If they do it and we don't we will be left further behind.
I like the moves. These two moves will really close the funding gap between the conferences. I am a little dissapointed its not the Buc-ee's 12 or QuickTrip 12 conference.
Well Allstate does sell insurance to truck drivers. Guess it works.
If they are going to rename the conference...get rid of the 12. I think we should go back to the Big 8(x2).
It's Allstate why not name us the Mayhem Conference. Has a ring to it.
At least the Allstate Big 12 Conference. No different than the Goodyear Cotton Bowl. But Allstate 12? Big Allstate? No, please no.
