Around the Big 12 Week 8

I like them for stating a fact? Texas and UCF are two really good rushing offenses, and OU held their own against them. I would say OU's weaknesses this year are the inconsistency of their secondary, and the inconsistency of their running game. Their strengths are their DL, QB play, and receiving corps.

You do know UCF is 0-4. They went into the OU game giving up almost 44 points per game. That is easily the worse defense you’ll face the rest of the year and the worse team you’ll face since you already played Cin

we shall see and good luck with that
Disciplined ball is the only way they'll be able to win. They dont have enough raw talent to just out-athlete every one all the time. Most of the success that central florida had saturday was on busted plays with a player out of position. half their rush yards came on 2 plays. 2 tds were on busted plays. So discipline is supremely important when you play tricky teams like them. same with kansas and gundy.

Yes, that was the prevailing opinion before the season started.
Before the season started, nobody really saw those teams (ucf, osu, kansas, wvu, tcu, byu) as significant threats. tcu to a small degree but it wasnt long before we saw who they are. but between cinci, iowa state and texas, the perception is that OU would be more likely to slip up in that slate than the following 6 games.. The perception was "get past texas and it's smooth sailing".

It started out that way, but now osu is on a win streak, kansas is putting up big points, wvu was surprisingly winning a few games. It's still not a super rough stretch to end the season but i think OU could easily lose any of the remaining games if they dont bring it.

I’ve wanted to win Bedlam every year, obviously we all have. But there’s not a bedlam game I’ve wanted to win more in my lifetime than this one and that’s an understatement. Winning this one would make up for so many disappointing bedlams. Please God, make this one happen lol!
I just don’t care much about Bedlam this year. We will always Want to win every game but I am more concerned about a couple of teams left on our own schedule. Since we are so far behind in the series and we won’t ever play them again does it really matter that much?

I think it’s important for OSU to win so that if OU goes to the SEC and performs well that the perception of the big 12 is a top 3 conference.

It’s important for existing big 12 teams to succeed so they can gain respect and recognition so that when the new playoff system is installed the big 12 will be given fair seedings

Your boys on defense are about to face one of the trickiest tricksters of an offensive coordinator in Andy Kotelnicki! I have been quite impressed with him the last two years!!!🤔

It seems like without trickery a typical offense will struggle against that defense. so bringing that trickery would be the way to go. but you lean too much and you fail like smu did, then it can get ugly

One thing about this guy, he makes adjustments at the snap of a finger and he appears to be very adept at spotting a defenses vulnerabilities quickly! I believe he is a rising star in the profession and Liepold may not be able to keep him past this season as I feel he will be in demand by the blue bloods who are looking for an offensive coordinator this next season!

I know they are good. OU played them last year and they scored 42, although that was a completely different defense. OU will have to play disciplined on defense and if they do they shouldnt have a problem beating them
