UCF’s offensive play calling is almost as baffling as ours. They insist on wasting a bunch of downs running up the middle for no gain. Then when they decide to pass they move the ball with ease. Could have probably thrown for 400+ if they’d have wanted to.

Every newcomer has been like that this year. Game is hard enough and when you’re playing a blueblood you’re not gonna beat them on their field unless you sell out.
They left them in the game and they paid for it. Caught them at the perfect time and wasted it.

Big 12 tougher than people think. OU hasn’t played a tough road game at all
Someone needs to tell them they can quit protecting ou and texas.
Should have gone Boise on them and run the Statue of Liberty, Venables probably still has nightmares about that night!!!
These four new teams just don’t have power 5 type depth and have to try and fix that thru recruiting and the portal!
I think we all know deep down that OU will play the game of their lives against us, and we won't get the version that showed up against UCF. It always happens, and I'm not holding my breath that it will be any different this year.

Yep. Venables can’t stop balance. If you are 1 dimensional he will eat your lunch. If you are balanced, he can’t stop it.

Beating an undefeated and highly ranked OU will be more fun than beating a 1-loss OU.

That and playing in a hostile road environment with a team who has pretty much had home games. OU is not road tested. I guess they play KU next week… so that could be interesting
Their schedule is the weakest in the nation

In their defense, they beat a team that is currently ranked in the top 10 and beat ISU (who is 3-1 in Big 12 play) by 30 points. They have shown that they can be a pretty solid team when they play to their potential.
