They probably won't look past Kansas like they did UCF.I’m picking the chicken hawks in that one

I don’t think it’s a matter of looking past. The only difference for them is played a G5 schedule except for the whorns and their qb has stayed healthyThey probably won't look past Kansas like they did UCF.
Venables D is the old ou, Mike stoops defense. They like to be aggressive, blitz a lot with different guys, and bring their safeties up to stop the short, horizontal passing game. Gash their blitz with the run, and throw it over their heads is always the recipe for beating them. Their corners are questionable but nobody tests them.Yep. Venables can’t stop balance. If you are 1 dimensional he will eat your lunch. If you are balanced, he can’t stop it.
I agree they are good but not unbeatable. I would argue that Texas could have easily beat OU had it not been for the late game heroics that probably couldn’t be repeated. In their defense, they beat a team that is currently ranked in the top 10 and beat ISU (who is 3-1 in Big 12 play) by 30 points. They have shown that they can be a pretty solid team when they play to their potential.
An 11AM game against a 3-3 opponent after a big rivalry win is typically a recipe for players going through the motions. I would imagine getting 18-year-old kids focused for such a game is no easy task.I don’t think it’s a matter of looking past. Well yeah, but Drake Stoops is 32. So what’s your excuse for him?An 11AM game against a 3-3 opponent after a big rivalry win is typically a recipe for players going through the motions. I would imagine getting 18-year-old kids focused for such a game is no easy task.
The 18-year-olds weren’t their problem today. Make excuses as you like though. An 11AM game against a 3-3 opponent after a big rivalry win is typically a recipe for players going through the motions. I would imagine getting 18-year-old kids focused for such a game is no easy task.
You left out the fact this was after a bye. They had an extra week to get it together better, & they squeaked by UCF.An 11AM game against a 3-3 opponent after a big rivalry win is typically a recipe for players going through the motions. They've had at least one game like this every year, dating back to the Stoops era. A game against a lesser team where they're either lucky to win or lose outright. They happened to be on the winning side this time. You left out the fact this was after a bye. They had an extra week to get it together better, & they squeaked by UCF.
He’s not my elder. F**k him!I'm of the opinion don't disrespect your elders.
I'm not disputing that. I'm just saying that they always have one game like they had today, people assume it means they're regressing, and then they roll for the rest of the season.Season’s not over for those turds yet. They got at least 1 L coming.
So you're saying a hangover has never happened after winning a big game? The 18-year-olds weren’t their problem today. Make excuses as you like though.

They didn't play a good game today, regardless of their players' focus, but I don't necessarily think that it is indicative of what they'll do the rest of the season. They have already proven against Texas that they can step up their game when needed.I’m saying you’re making an excuse, they had an extra week to get past that

Texas is also Bama's only loss and has a 6-1 record.Yep, just like texass stepped against Houston today.
