American Healthcare continues to go backward

I'm honestly curious why RFK is so obsessed with autism. They are treating it like it's the worst thing happening in the country right now, like it's an absolute epidemic. Why the absolute focus on this and nothing else?

He doesn’t understand epidemiology.

In 1960 there were approximately 170 million people in the United States. Now there are 350 million. If the prevalence of neurodevelopmental disorders remains constant then the population with NDD has doubled. And, as I’ve said, we’ve gotten better at identifying them, the diagnostic criteria have gotten more sensitive so the prevalence has increased. Every word that comes out of his mouth indicates that he doesn’t understand this.

At a state-sponsored cancer forum, Casey DeSantis, the First Lady of Florida, touted ivermectin, an antiparasitic drug commonly used to deworm livestock, and indicated that Florida should explore its potential repurposing for cancer research.

He will not last 4 yrs at HHS. Then he will write a book and go on speaking tour and take in millions. That is his grift.

If it had applications as a cancer treatment we would be using it right now.

Where did the rights obsession with this stuff begin? I don't even want to say right-the crazy people's obsession. As a COVID treatment I think it was dumb but that was a new disease so whatever. But now its some sort of miracle cure for everything? Maybe it treats autism too.

A South American company bought a crapload of it. They put some virii in a Petri dish, dumped some ivermectin on it, let it sit for a while and virii died and VOILA! ivermectin has antiviral properties… and I’m not exaggerating by much. There hasn’t been one single clinical study, observational or clinical trial, that has shown ivermectin to be of benefit against viruses. This is unlike hydroxychloroquin, where some early well done observational studies (Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit) showed benefit. But the clinical trials with HCQ were all negative.

Part of me wonders if he isn’t trying to take down the Trump administration from the inside and Trump doesn’t see it, because, after all, he’s a Kennedy and was a Democrat two days ago.

RAJU: Is it responsible for the president to be giving medical advice like this?

ROUNDS: Talk to your physician

RAJU: But should he be using his platform to say these things?

ROUNDS: The bottom line is he's the elected president. He's doing what he thinks is right for the country. I respect him for that.

Those are purely made up numbers for covid vaccines.

The "adverse effects" -I wonder how they came up with that? I got a covid booster last week and my arm was sore for a couple of days, which happens every time I get it. Is that an adverse effect? Yeah, probably. Did it bother me other than noticing that my arm was sore? Not really.

So yeah, I think I'll just take my chances with the ivermectin next time because adverse effects.

When I get the covid booster it’s like I get hit in the arm with a fast ball.

The falsehood is that should be divided by the number of exposures. We underwent one of the most massive vaccination campaigns in world history, versus a handful of people taking ivermectin.
