2026 Recruiting Thread

Another #homestate pickup for the Pokes. DL Landen Anderson from Edmond Santa Fe

Woot!

The recruiting dynamic is so interesting right now. We flipped this kid from KU but he took 4 officials (including KU) after his original commitment. Local kid so I'm guessing hes been on tons of unofficials to both us and Kansas and Im sure they are 10x more interesting than unofficials were pre wild west. Im not hating on the kid either- we had a kid flipped who took officials after committing to us and now we flipped a kid committed somewhere else. A decade ago once you committed you shut your officials down (unless your name was Ronald Jones-still a little salty there) because if you didn't you might not have a spot when you got back. Now its like oh well because every year you gotta keep kids engaged so might as well let them see if the grass is greener because that's easier than spending the time and money on them only to watch them walk when they start to turn into a solid contributor.

For those keeping score. # of Top-20 2026 Oklahoma HS commits

OSU = 7
OU = 0

Anderson was the extra point

8 decommits so far.

The hits keep coming for Oklahoma State‘s 2026 recruiting class.

On Tuesday, Owasso (Okla.) three-star safety Carter Langenderfer backed off his pledge to the Cowboys, he told Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett. The in-state star, who had been committed since April, is the eighth prospect to decommit from the Cowboys in the past week since Gundy’s firing.

“I have made the difficult decision to decommit from Oklahoma State University,” he posted on Twitter. “My recruitment is now open.”

Julius Wilson 6’4” WR commits from Owasso. Athletic basketball player who has become a top 2 target at Owasso. Solid pick up!! I’m confused how we can recruit and with what money with a head coach….? What if new coach doesn’t want these commits? Such a bizarre world but congrats to Julius!

I thought I just heard on the radio that Kaydin Jones recommitted? Is there any info on this being true? I can't find anything as of right now myself

OSU offered KD a bunch of money. Several hundred thou$$$and. We will have $$$ from donors to get back quick. Similar to Richison with wrestling. It will depend who EM wants after he evaluates what he’s going to inherit

Several hundred thousand? For a three star running back? He had better be as good as Prentiss Elliot was.

When? Like today we just said we got cash now?

If you read between the lines and listen to what Chad says, there are several donors wanting us to get back to a top 20 team. The going rate for an average three star is 100 to 250,000 per year. KD is a four star, near five star. He is very talented. Doesn’t like to run between the tackles but elusive in space. He is a big time speed running back like Chuba
