I thought the very same thing. I didn't think he was anywhere near that tall.
I was standing next to him yesterday, he’s every bit of 6’2, for reference I’m 6’1.5 and he was taller.

Damn, appreciate the insight!
He still has some evasiveness based on a video I watched.
I was told they thought he might eventually move to the interior if he had come in because with his frame he could get to the 290 to 295 range which is what they should have done with the younger Waltershied a couple of years ago because even though he has size he never had that quick first step off the edge! McPherson isn’t as athletic or as quick as Young or the Juco we got from Mississippi!!! Still it would have been a nice pickup for us if he had stayed!

Nice offer list as well. I used to not think much about beating tech out for a recruit. We tend to go after a bunch of the same kids so you are naturally going to win several of those battles. With their bag now, it carries a little more weight in my mind.

True. The bottom line is the last 2 commits we’ve landed have good Big 12 program offers as well and we’re beating them all out. When I see a DL/LB that has an Iowa State / Kansas State offer, I’m excited because those guys play physical tough nosed defense traditionally.
