2026 Recruiting Thread

It’s weirdly ironic. They hired a HC specifically so they could recruit HS talent in Texas. Now all they need is a wad of money and they can do whatever they want.
Get rid of the former Rhule Bag Man from Baylor and get a real HC Sand Aggy! You don’t need a bag man anymore!!! 😝

This isn’t NIL money though. If this is true then they just committed 1/7 of their total yearly revenue sharing for the entire university, all sports, to this one player.
Could a university increase their reported revenue through 'sponsorship' donations? For example, ABC Company buys an advertising package from a university athletic department for $25,000,000...does this increase the revenue share amount available?

No it doesn’t change the revenue sharing though NIL deals that are legit can still be done. In other word real NIL deals, that is assuming the NIL Go clearinghouse actually works.

THAT IS A BIG "IF" ON WHETHER IT ACTUALLY WORKS AS ADVERTISED!!! 😑
True but so far most schools seem content to play within the rules for the most part. They are just trying to line up bigger legit NIL deals through marketing programs they are hiring.

Tech has a donor like Chad Richison does for wrestling. You get what you pay for nowadays. Tech has made some massive upgrades with facilities and technology and their NIL is crazy. We are spending a lot from the concert as well.
