2024 Presidential Election

What a g*d damn disaster. Who the hell voted for that oompa loompa clown show?

I think the Dems eff'd it all up by choosing Harris as the Democrat nominee. Maybe not tho. I will never understand why anyone voted for Trump. It boggles my mind on an infinite level
The too many people who are gullible enough to believe the BS that Trump brings up. Anyway, it must have started when Biden told immigrants not to come. But they came anyway in droves, and Biden did nothing about it. Also, people hated Biden's inflation, but how will they like Trump's inflation caused by his universal tariffs on all imports? Trump has proposed an additional 60% tariff on Chinese goods and a 10% tariff on all other imported goods. He also evoked the possibility of raising the latter, universal tariffs to 20%. He has also spoke of imposing a 25% tariff on items from Mexico if it doesn't close its border. If that doesn't persuade Mexico to do so, then Trump will raise the tariff to as high as 100%. One reason I didn't vote for Trump was because I'm afraid he can impose tariffs without approval from Congress. It will be interesting if there will be a big run on stuff before he does that. If you want a big screen TV or a car imported from Mexico, you better buy it soon. But maybe Mexico will close its border.

It looks like Trump is going to carry Michigan. I would have bet anything that wasn't going to happen. Right now Trump is leading in the popular vote. I am completely and totally flabbergasted.

The lessons I hoped Republicans would learn from this election are completely erased.

I can remember when the Democrats owned the working class. Now Democrats look down on the working class. Dems, y'all have got to learn a lesson from this.

Clarence Thomas sold democracy for the price of a Winnebago. The American people sold it for the price of a cheeseburger.

Americans do not want liberal coastal elites as president. Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry all had that vibe. California and the Northeast should forever be scratched from the Democratic talent pool for future presidents.

Most Americans love tax cuts and don’t give a damn about the national debt. There has been no talks from either side of reigning in the debt bomb that awaits us, so 4 years from now will be a real mess if that’s not addressed.

Swing states have turned red. Why? Took-er-jobs is a valid talking point in the rust belt/upper Midwest states. Democrats couldn’t navigate that reality.

Working class Americans are anti-globalization.

Distrust in government institutions in America is at an all time high. With the way social media is weaponized, that will likely get worse.

Democrats don’t have a resonate message that relates to the silent majority. Democrats went into cuckoo town with some of their views in the culture wars that rub working class Americans the wrong way. Trump is hitting the social conservative/fiscal liberal tone that shockingly hits with voters.

I said a month ago that if Trump wins this election it's on the democrats. Harris was a flawed candidate and honestly just a flat-out empty suit. She was run off the Primary Stage in 2020. As VP she reached record low approval ratings and was kept out of the public eye. It was proven that the American people wanted nothing to do with her. She was a poor public speaker. She was unable to articulate plans. She chose a running mate that added nothing. She was unable to effectively discuss all of Trump's flaws (most of yall do a much better job of that). She was just flat out annoying (Go watch her last call SNL sketch) they literally made fun of this fact. As such, she ran a horrible presidential campaign. You got to be really bad to lose this election. Proof is in the pudding. Look at that popular vote!!

Biden was obviously not going to be able to run again as early as 4 years ago. The plan was denial. Thats a really bad plan and it caught them. Instead of an emergency primary the party let a small room full of people decide. They chose wrong.

Going by his first term (even pre-covid) Trump will be absolutely horrible for the debt.

He will be bragging about his "great economy" that was fueled by excess government spending. The only modern president to worsen deficit/GDP ratio during an economic expansion for several years. It is a smoke and mirrors economy.

The shocking thing to me is the popular vote. Never would've guessed that would go Trump. If that holds it will at least provide one thing positive; the people who want to get rid of the electoral college will be a little quieter, at least for 4 years.
The swing states just drove a dagger into into the democrats. I’m assuming democrats will absolutely try to get rid of it given the chance.

That shouldn't change anything. People are so short sighted about elections that we fail to see the bigger picture. It will be an issue again in 4 years, which I'm already predicting will be THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION EVAR!!!!!!!! (or at least until 2032 and 2036, also the most important elections ever)

I'm pretty sure it would be JD Vance.

Vance isn’t in office yet until the election is certified and he is sworn in. It would still be Biden until the end of the term. If the election still isn’t certified we have a constitutional crisis and the Speaker of the House becomes president until the house elects a new president. The only pathway for Harris is the 25th amendment and then only until the end of the term.

MSNBC during their “Morning Joe” show just reported that there are roughly 1300 counties in the United States and “Donald Trump improved his performance by over 90% of them. This was a staggering number up and down the board in every geography and virtually in every demographic”. (Compared to 2020 election)

Dems learned zero from 2016. Got out worked and took the working class for granted in the swing states.

Thought they could run a second campaign hiding a senile old man. Installed a candidate nobody liked, then hid her for weeks.

Lastly, anyone flabbergasted learned nothing about the zeal of the MSM to once again underreport Trump’s support and instead peddle a narrative they wanted to be true.

‘Sharp as a tack!’ That was 16 weeks ago.

Watching CNN once again go apoplectic and talk only about Harris’ possible path was like watching a team run the ball straight down the throat of the other team, building a lead, while the announcer can’t stop saying ‘but there’s still a chance.’ Priceless.
