2023 College Baseball Showdown

Josh in postgame:

said all of the pitchers were "awesome"

liked the play defensively, considering the roof and unique ballpark

liked the big inning, said some guys are "overcompeting" and that executing at the plate is a "learned skill" and will take some time

strikeout total was high, but that's to be expected (?), they have great pitchers

need to work on situational baseball. mentioned the "wonderful rule"with Nolan in the box but not ready to hit.

Proud of the team, time to recover, "that's the most we've been on our feet together in a long time"

Said some really good players (Meola, others) didn't get to play today but will soon
I know I’m ranting on this but for there to be a clock rule on the hitter but no rule against throwing over 10 times an inning is crazy. If they want to make the game better, the need to eliminate the shift and limit the throws to first. I like the 30 second mound visits and the 2:30 pitching changes. Also seemed like the time between innings was quick and I liked that as well. Game was about 2 hours and 50 minutes. It took longer to make the call on McLean and everyone to realize what was going on than it would have to just let it go. There are going to be arguments on that call which will delay game even further which completely defeats the purpose of that rule. And McLean was in the box looking at the pitcher who wasn’t on the rubber when it was called, so define “in the box and ready to hit.” Ok, my rant is over.

Seriously, my friend, let us disagree, let us argue, but let us not call names. I really like your opinions (and you had a valid point), but you lose credibility when you make it personal.
hang out here all season and read the comments made by some of the posters about the players/coaches, then you'll really know what "personal" looks like

Abram, the sooner transfer in to pitch. Are there other sooner transfers on any other athletic teams?
