Losses in the early season, especially against good competition, are not the end of the world. However, Josh is not doing himself any favors with the fan base with his comments after the game on Friday. If I were him, I wouldn’t provide the fan base that has shown up and watched the team lose 3 straight home regionals any more ammunition to be pissed. Our patience is wearing real thin.

Losing 2 of 3 this weekend to 2 really good teams won't hurt in the long run.

But he, like Gundy, seems oblivious to the fact that people are getting tired of his act, especially in the absense of postseason success. There's little reason to think that this season won't follow the exact same script.

Agree. And they don't need 8 warm up pitches. What other sport do you get to have 8 practice tries in the middle of the game while everybody waits? I'd say 3 max and let's go.

We hit the ball really well this weekend. And the things that cost us the game are correctable under normal circumstances. Unfortunately we’ve seen for years that Walton will continue to leave guys in too long and Josh won’t move Schubart.

Pitching was the biggest takeaway…2 loses were due to our freshman pitching although the defense let down Wech today. Offense was good enough. The loses from the pitching staff from the draft looks large. Hopefully roles can be filled fairly quickly. It’s going to be a work in progress. The sky isn’t falling although I expect a lot of comments to reflect like it is
