Wow! It came fast.
Tech is 16-3, OSU is 15-3 and winners of 12 in a row.
The biggest ? for OSU is starting pitching. Right now the press release shows Brian Hendry (1-0 4.09) going tonight, and JWB (2-0 1.99) tomorrow, with Sunday's TBD.
As good as OSU has been at the plate (.323, don't remember a Josh team being so high), TTU has been better (.326). Their best hitter is Gavin Kash, hitting .487 with 33RBI. Schubart is ours at .424 and 24.
Tech's team ERA is way below ours, 3.36/4.50, but that took a hit that first weekend and has been much better lately.
Both of Tech's starters are 2-0. Tonight's is righty Brendon Girton, and tomorrow's is lefty Mason Molina. They also are TBD on Sunday.
Look's like two very evenly matched teams. My guess is that it will come down to which staff can avoid the free passes and get out of jams, since we know both teams will get their swings in.
Tonight's game is at 6:30
