Who Should OSU Hire as Next Basketball Head Coach?

Who were we told no by? Provide a link to the interview where a coach has come out and said “I spoke to Chad Weiberg in Oklahoma State and turned them down.” Should be relatively easy to do.

This fan base really needs help.
I'm speculating and responding to other speculation. My guess is that we met with or contacted both Sprinkle and DeVries. If they were in the conversation, Sprinkle probably had a UW preference the whole time, and DeVries had some reason for WVU. Nothing makes me think there is a problem with the process, and I think the "mess" comment was nonsense. But I have no way of knowing anything, again, just speculating like everyone else.

That’s fair. I had just read some nonsense on Twitter and probably carried over the frustration in my response. There are some really mentally challenged takes out there right now.

I think k it’s going to be just fine. There are great options out there that require some timing and due diligence and I hope we’re working those channels. Color me unimpressed with coaches barely getting in with 8/9/10 seeds or beating up on crap schedules all year. We’re going to get a winner and everyone will look back and say “they knew it the whole time.” 😂

This time next year will be very different…….

That’s the “damn I lost to Billy Self” tweet if there ever was one
John C Reilly Yes GIF

The people I trust to know something, don’t. CW has kept this very close to the vest. I think any talk of Sprinkle or DeVries was just agents doing their jobs to get schools to move quicker on their clients.

I'm going to throw my super wild and reckless speculation cap on and say that maybe things are being played so close to the chest because Will Wade is the guy and the university is doing its due diligence on backlash and outcry.

With that said... I'm most likely wrong.

It’s not Will Wade, ADCW has heard our calls to:

BRING BILL HOME
A little off topic but are we witnessing NIL be the great equalizer in basketball that scholarship limits were in football. Look at fKU and Kentucky this year. No depth. Now most schools can pay their top 2-5 players above the table where some schools were allegedly doing it preNIL. We are also seeing coaches stay at mid majors or move back to mid majors bc they can get paid there.

Why aren’t Louisville, Ohio St and Michigan able to entice established names to their jobs?

Man, I forgot how near disaster that was when Joey slipped but managed to flip it to JLIII.
The slip is really the reason that JL3 was so open.

Almost slip and lose the ball, only to get your best shooter wide open for the win. Kismet.

Also Kansas and Kentucky are trying to be relevant in Football at the same time as NIL is starting up.

So I'm going to start off by saying I know Bill Self 99%+ is not coming home, but I was thinking about how it could be made to work. Obviously we VERY MUCH can't afford his salary right now. So maybe we offer him a percentage of ticket sales until the program is back on solid ground. Work out the math such that he might be able to earn slightly more than his current contract if he sells GIA out.

Probably a dumb idea, but it was something that came to mind. I've got no idea if the numbers would work for that at all.
