How much are they lending to folks wanting to donate it to charity?
Nothing is stopping them from making a charitable contribution in stock.

But there has not been the same kind of conservative movement to take back marriage rights for same-sex couples as there was to get rid of the constitutional right to an abortion.
This is the key, IMHO. @CowboyJD can correct me if I am wrong, but I doubt the SCOTUS refused this as a matter of law. They refused it because they don't have the conservative consensus on the issue.

Only takes 4 of 9 to take a case on.
They refuse many more cases than they take on and don’t have to explain why they don’t accept an appreal, so who really knows. Supposedly based upon prior histories I’ve read, though I’ve not read one on this particular set of justices, there isn’t a lot of straw voting or active consensus building to pre-decide a case before voting to take it on or decline jurisdiction. It sure seems like this court is different than others in the use of it’s shadow docket though.
I mean, you have two justices on the SCOTUS openly calling for repeal of Obergefell in their opinions in other cases. I think it’s good they apparently can’t convince two others to at least hear the arguments.

About time. But, our good for nothing congress does need to authorize rounding or there will be another crisis. So, most likely a penny crisis before they do anything.
