KOTV just reported Texas Tech is going to complement the $20.5M with another $34.5M and have an annual budget of $55M/year to be paid to the student-athletes. The KOTV report said this likely puts them at the highest in the nation (at least for now). Additional NIL on top of that.We got our NCAA settlement:
* Previous players get paid lost $ opps to the tune of a couple billion at the cost of the schools.
* Schools can pay athletes directly up to 20.5 million for full ath dept. Goes up 4% a year for a decade.
* NIL payments over $600 will face evaluation for actual value.
At least it’s no longer the wild west.

I went with my family and friends to the one in Boulder (because it seemed safer than Denver). I'd guess there were between 4-5 thousand people there. It was amazing.
1863, Lincoln issued the final Emancipation Proclamation. That on the first day of January, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, all persons held as slaves within any State or designated part of a State, the people whereof shall then be in rebellion against the United States, shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free.
Lincoln then listed the ten states<I, Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States, by virtue of the power in me vested as Commander-in-Chief, of the Army and Navy of the United States in time of actual armed rebellion against the authority and government of the United States, and as a fit and necessary war measure for suppressing said rebellion, do ... order and designate as the States and parts of States wherein the people thereof respectively, are this day in rebellion, against the United States, the following, to wit:
I do order and declare that all persons held as slaves within said designated States, and parts of States, are, and henceforward shall be free. ...uch persons of suitable condition, will be received into the armed service of the United States. ... And upon this act, sincerely believed to be an act of justice, warranted by the Constitution, upon military necessity, I invoke the considerate judgment of mankind, and the gracious favor of Almighty God.
