I say the same thing about all these conservative Christians who adore this man...my family (mon, dad, siblings) are all about Christianity, go to church every Sunday, consider themselves Godly people, yet totally and cultishly love tRump...it baffles my mind that Christians hold this vile person in such high regards...I honestly can´t figure it out...it make zero sense to me...

IMO it’s because a lot of America’s Christianity is a brand to be consumed and no where close to a faith to be lived out in our daily lives.

I would normally agree with that, if not for my personal experience - my family...I was raised in church, went twice on Sunday and Wed. nights...dad was a deacon and music minister...and yet, like I said, they worship the orange man...totally confusing to me...

No wonder in 2024 Trump on video placed his hand on his heart and said, "I'm not Christian". Ignore this warning sign at your own risk. On the other hand, some may say Trump as the anti-Christ is just an act, like a reality show. He's not really.

I was raised similar. I practically lived at my childhood church growing up. Long story short, my wife and I stopped going to church several years ago and while I hate that we haven't gotten back with our kids, the thought of what "Christianity" has turned into around here gives us the icks. I was raised similar. I practically lived at my childhood church growing up. Long story short, my wife and I stopped going to church several years ago and while I hate that we haven't gotten back with our kids, the thought of what "Christianity" has turned into around here gives us the icks. I've lost a lot of respect for a lot of the elders in churches I've been a part of bc I just can't fathom how you can worship both God and Donald Trump...

One of my kids went through something similar. I encouraged them to gather 1 time per month on the same night every month w a group of friends for dinner. Keep it small (10-12). They actually included someone else from 500 miles away on FaceTime who ate the same meal. Leave politics at the door. That is a hard rule. Share life. The ups of the past month and the downs. Talk about ways to improve someone else’s life and take concrete steps to follow through (something simple like mowing a yard, cleaning someone’s house, stocking a food pantry at a local college). This past year has been the happiest year for them and their sense of community has never been better. They now gather for a meal every other week.
