She's not getting the call at the knees, and she's giving in and throwing it higher and it got hammered twice. I've NEVER seen her frustrated by the strike zone but you've seen her ask a few times "where was that?" as in she genuinly wants to know.

There's nobody else to put in

It is tight zone…you’re going to get those a few times in a season. Just have to deal with it. Should’ve been strike 3 before the HR. At least the zone is consistent for both teams

That shoulder injury is something she came into the season with…I wouldn’t be shocked if she doesn’t and they try to apply for a medical redshirt

UCF is so much better than we are at the plate. It's not even close. If they could play defense this would have been a sweep.

Also, I don't like Eberle's pitch sequences. Ruby doesn't get a call on a drop ball at the knees, so she calls it again and Ruby hangs it and it gets crushed. It's happened at last 5 times. If blue isn't giving you the pitch, quit trying to hammer it there and move the ball around.

Honestly I don’t think that’s it. I think he doesn’t want to or can’t bring in experienced assistant coaches so we are seeing the growing pains of these young coaches learning how to actually coach. Also, this is just a personal observation not based on any insider information but it doesn’t feel like he has built a culture of accountability.

All of those appearances were mainly because there were two great pitchers that got them there. The offense did enough and we rode pitching. Now, we only have one pitcher and she has to be perfect, so this is what we get.

I think you're 100% right. I don't question his desire to win, but I do question his desire to occasinally ruffle some feathers and set a high bar, coaches included. I think he sees the girls like they are his daughters (including Shippy/Eberle) and doesn't want to upset them. The players on the team have had great comraderie (sp), but that only goes so far. There has to be some accountability.
