Those who compare Trump to Adolf Hitler: I’m not aware of any leading Democratic officials who have compared the president to Hitler, and Leavitt didn’t point to any examples. But for the record, the most prominent political voices that have made the comparison are JD Vance, Trump’s vice president, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Trump’s health and human services secretary.”

I’ve seen where Comey has implied he did not arrange the shells but came across them on a walk along the beach. He internalized that someone was trying to make a political statement and so he snapped a pic. Posted it. 15 minutes later deleted it.

Mariam Webster defines 86 as an informal verb meaning to refuse to serve a customer, or to get rid of and throw out someone or something. It goes on to say that it can mean to dispense or eliminate something.

There are so many outs for the defense I just don’t see a coherent strategy for the prosecution that doesn’t get laughed at unless they have recordings or communication where Comey admits this was a threat he intended.
86 in the restaurant industry always meant we were out of an item.

86 in the restaurant industry always meant we were out of an item.
When I worked in the service industry (waiter, bartender, occasional cook), 86 meant a few things:

An item on the menu was either sold out or taken off the menu for some reason.

86-ing a person meant: 1) You were cutting him off from any more alcohol, or 2) you were kicking him out of the bar, or 3) you were permanently banning him from coming back to the bar ever again.

Did Trump’s policy directly cause those wives to be deported? Yes — that was a direct result of government policy, not some rogue third party’s independent action.

Did Biden’s border policy directly cause a murder? No — an individual still had to enter illegally and choose to commit murder. That is not the same as government policy directing or intending harm. (And immigrant crime rates are generally lower than citizens’.)

Trump made a bad decision pardoning all the J6 defendants. But he did not directly cause later crimes some pardoned individuals committed, including child molestation.

You’re ignoring what direct means because it doesn’t fit your argument. There’s a big difference between a policy whose operation itself causes harm, and a policy not intended to cause harm where someone who benefited from it later commits harm.

So to be clear, your reasoning /justification of a person being happy if Trump died is because Trump was "overseeing a soldier's wife being ripped out of the country because they are not yet citizens". I strongly disagree that should increase a level of hate so much they are happy someone died. There are a lot of politicians I disagree with, but I have never remotely thought ...man I would be happy if that person died. But...this country has a lot of different people and perspectives.

We know that under President Obama (remember he was known as the "Deporter in Chief") similar activity occurred. During his first term over 2/3rds of the nearly 3M people deported had no criminal record. Certainly I think we can agree that spouses of people were "ripped out of the country" during this time.

So two questions:
1) If someone with a different ideology than you was hoping Obama would die back in 2011....would you held the same feelings and believe it is logical and fair for them to feel that way (due to same activity)?
2) Is it worse for deportations of military spouses than spouses of individuals with non-military jobs?
