I am concerned about the possibility of ongoing techno-guerilla war. Iran has people in Yemen, Syria Iraq and Lebanon
with authorization from the regime to create havoc. Drones, shoulder launched missiles and mining of harbors are very disruptive. They do not have to control the Strait of Hormuz to disrupt economies. They only need to make that strait dangerous enough that the risk averse companies will not take oil through the strait. In OPEC days inflation due to the limited oil sales by OPEC led to economic distress. The problems of this nature are already being experienced in several nations in Asia. We need a better solution than the current presidential rhetoric offers. We need an off ramp.
The more Iranian citizens that we kill will serves to prolong the war. I listened to a broadcast from an Indian reporter who was broadcasting from an Indian News Station. He outlined the problems with our current strategy. It was eye opening to see this from a global perspective. In effect, these two nations are at war and it is not going to be good for the rest of us.

this is absolutely horrifying!! WTAF?! disgusting!! this guy has to go...right?!
I really should add: its not just enough to post about this, it is time to contact your house rep and senators to invoke the 25th amendment. You might think "hey, my rep is maga as hell, it won't do any good", but they are ways to convey this message that will make them think about it. Especially if they are getting calls en masse.

It won't do any good. Because it first requires:
- A Vice President willing to act against the President plus
- A majority of Cabinet members agreeing the President is unfit.
It would do good. Even if it cannot be accomplished, you make the republicans own it and the consequences of not going along with it.
Its smart, forward thinking politics. You make your opponent play defense and control the narrative that way.
That last point is how I know it won't happen. Most democrats are completely feckless.

But once again enough people should have seen a bright red warning flag waving when during the 2024 campaign, Trump placed his hand on his heart and said, "I'm not Christian". In addition to that, it didn't sound quite right for him also telling Christians to just get out and vote; you won't have to vote anymore. Everything will be fine.
