Look at his plummeting popularity as our best proxy. Independents/young adults.... long gone. Regular republicans that just can't vote dem..... pretty much gone. Low socio-economic class MAGA... starting to break.
The only ones mostly staying solid are his "Christian" base. Why? Because if Trump isn't what they have claimed he is, they have to admit they sold out Christ for a charlatan. They gave up everything. They will double-down.

Trump issues expletive-laden social media post
Warning: The below post contains very strong, uncensored language that some may find offensive.
US President Donald Trump has published an expletive-laden post on his Truth Social platform, in which he threatens Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
He references targeting civilian infrastructure and tells Iran they will be "living in Hell" if the vital shipping lane is not opened.
The post comes ahead of Trump's self-imposed deadline to Tehran to reopen the strait by Monday, which has been effectively closed since war broke out at the end of February.
The paragraph below contains very strong language.
Trump says: "Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP"
There are now thousands of things that they accept from Trump that would have brought out the pitchforks if the black dude had done them. Yet, if you mention systemic racism they still have the cognitive dissonance to say "That doesn't exist. We judge on merit."
Long before Trump the American Church became filled with horrific theology. It was/is filled with charismatic pastors who taught and spewed this. They filled the churches with it. Then they filled the airwaves. Then they took advantage of our consumeristic society and social media and furthered their agenda. One of the biggest churches in America proudly boasts that its average attendant walks through its doors 1 out of every three weeks but due to ease of credit/debit card transactions they are faithful givers. At 15 locations this church was taking in $9MM per month. Now they have 45 locations.
The average American Christian doesn’t even open the book they claim to cherish once a week. Not all but far too many pastors like this. They like an ignorant flock bc then their word (not His Word) becomes gospel while they ignore The Gospel.
MAGA cult is the same as the cult that has become American Christianity (again not all churches fall into this). Its members will blindly follow Trump bc they have blindly followed false pastors most of their life.
Find a church w a humble pastor who encourages self discipline and wants a congregation to challenge him/her and I’ll bet you find a church w a majority that did not or would not vote for Trump.

I don’t think it was on here but I apologize if it was but I saw someone who had a thought addressing this.
Basically he gives them the ok to be poor. He takes the victimhood they have and tells them “You’re right to be angry. It’s the immigrant who stole your job’s fault. It’s the liberal teacher who focused on indoctrinating you instead of educating you. It’s the fault of the elite colleges who wouldn’t take your 12 ACT score. It’s the fault of the greedy woke corporations who wouldn’t give you a job. It’s the politician’s fault who used DEI to make companies hire the more qualified minority.”
While undermining and gutting every tool that poor and under educated have, he is telling them they are the victims. He is telling them every person/institution to blame except themselves. He has never faced accountability so he projects that onto them. He thinks he is the victim and he projects that onto them and then uses that to gain more favor and power from them.
Victimhood is a powerful drug and he is the master at controlling people w it.
