10,000+ American Veterans lost their homes to foreclosure in the last 11 MONTHS and an additionally 90,000 vets are facing foreclosure due to Trump VA policy change.

The Trump administration ignored warnings from policy experts when they changed a major policy at the Department of Veterans Affairs — and the result is a wave of foreclosures against veterans.

According to NPR, "More than 10,000 veterans lost their homes to foreclosure since May of last year, when the Trump administration shut down a key safety-net in the VA home loan program, according to the latest industry data. That is the highest pace of foreclosures for VA loans in a decade. Another 90,000 vets are heading towards foreclosure. This comes after a years-long debacle inside the VA has whiplashed thousands of vets between various enacted and cancelled programs and left many of them on the brink of losing their homes — often through no fault of their own."

One such family profiled by NPR included the family of Leann Ledford, whose husband is a former Marine carrying PTSD and a brain injury after fighting in Afghanistan and lives on disability because he is unable to work. Their mortgage lender told them a federal program would let them skip several months of mortgage payments to make needed, costly home repairs — but then due to the policy change, they were ordered to pay those skipped mortgage bills as a lump sum, which they couldn't do, ultimately leading to foreclosure.

The issue actually began under the Biden administration, when a pandemic relief program that allowed some veterans to skip mortgage payments was terminated, causing the bill to come due for thousands of people at once.

"After an NPR investigation exposed the problem, the Biden Admin VA halted foreclosures for a year while it rolled out a fix," noted the report.

The foreclosures were halted by the Biden Admin in Nov 2023 with a time line to roll out a fix by Nov 2024. but in Nov 2024 Trump had won election to a 2nd term and the Fix to this issue became a campaigning point with GOP rejecting the Biden fix and wanting to create their own fix, Results...no fix was created and Trump VA shut down the program without a fix in May 2025

However,

"Republicans in Congress, citing costs, wanted to kill that fix and replace it with something else. But last spring, the mortgage industry warned that shutting down the program without first replacing it would be a disaster." Despite this, the Trump administration shut down the program anyway — and now tens of thousands of veterans are getting their homes seized.

"It's unclear how many of those vets could have avoided foreclosure through the rescue plan, called VASP, or the VA Servicing Purchase program," noted the report. "But mortgage industry insiders told NPR it's clear that some of those vets had enough disability pay or other income and would have been able to keep their homes had VA not shut down VASP with virtually no warning.

We spend $1T on defense each yr w that number likely to go to $1.5T in under Trump.

Currently of the $1T about half goes to multi billion dollar companies. More than half of the projected $500B increase (if not all of it) will go to these companies. This means by end 2027 we will be redistributing nearly a trillion dollars per yr to these multi billion dollar corporations. Many if not all of their executives will rake in multiple millions in compensation.

Trump said yesterday we do not have the money to help lift working Americans. He also said we couldn’t fulfill promises to disabled Americans or retired Americans who rely on Medicare. All because we have to fight wars.

He is taking money from veterans, from disabled veterans, and redistributing it to multi millionaires.

He is the worst president in the 250 years of our nation. He is the worst human to ever hold that office and it’s not even close.

The polls all showed ~90% or higher approval Rating for Trump on things like Tariff's , the war in Iran, the Crackdown on Immigration. Trump shared these numbers touting them as support from the American Public for everything he is doing.....yeah. At this point is Trump being played a Fool by someone telling him these polls are representative of all Americans or is he in on it ??

Trump post flattering poll numbers , White House refused to confirm where the Polling was from — CNN asked the Polling firm that carried out the polling and found that it came from CPAC attendees

CNN anchor Jake Tapper had some fun at President Donald Trump’s expense after the president posted several charts purporting to show highly flattering poll results — which were revealed to come from an extremely friendly audience.

Tuesday, Trump posted several polls on his Truth Social account showing sky-high approval ratings for him on several topics. To say these numbers were outliers from his recent polling would be an epic understatement; Trump’s polling has been negative throughout his second term and has hit a new low in the wake of backlash over his immigration crackdown, tariffs, economic issues, the Iran war, and so on.

Besides the fact that the questions showed a clear favorable slant — Do you approve or disapprove of Trump’s “use of tariffs to reduce America’s trade deficit and create a more fair playing field for American workers and businesses”? — the key factor was the identity of the poll respondents.

The polls had a “McLaughlin & Associates” logo. Tapper wrote a tweet to John McLaughlin, CEO of the polling company, asking if he could “shed any light on these graphics the president posted?”

“The WH has declined to comment and I’m very curious about them,” Tapper added. “Are they yours? Who was polled?”

McLaughlin replied that the poll was conducted among attendees of the most recent Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Texas — a self-selecting universe of GOP and conservative activists who are largely fervent MAGA supporters.

(Even though Trump himself skipped the conference this year, he still polls well in this group.)

Tapper posted a follow-up tweet with an implied dig at Trump over his posts.

“This polling is of CPAC attendees,” wrote Tapper. “Curious why that doesn’t appear in the graphics the president posted, but there you go!”

So tired of all this Winning...but Hey, Trump has successfully united the Left and Right Political factors in France in defense of Macron.

Emmanuel Macron hits back at Donald Trump after marriage swipe: 'Neither elegant nor up to standard'

President Donald Trump’s mockery of Emmanuel Macron’s marriage has sparked a fierce rebuttal from his French counterpart.

Mr Trump poked fun at Mr Macron and his wife, Brigitte, by imitating a French accident and saying she “treats him extremely badly”.

Even political foes of the French President have jumped to his defence, including the leader of the hard-left France Unbowed party, Manuel Bompard.

Now Mr Macron has sniped back, saying the disparaging comments were “neither elegant nor up to standard”.

Trump administration accused of violating court order by sharing Medicaid data with ICE

More than a dozen Democratic-led states are accusing the Trump administration of violating a federal court order by sharing Medicaid data with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, asking a judge to enforce the ruling.

The states’ complaint asks the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California to enforce its existing injunction blocking HHS from sharing Medicaid data with ICE.

"The Trump Administration appears to be defying a direct court order blocking it from sharing the personal, sensitive data of individuals including U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents. It’s invasive — and deeply troubling," said California Attorney General Bonta, who led the coalition of 22 states. "When Californians signed up for Medi-Cal, they did so with the understanding that their data would not be used for purposes unrelated to administering this program. I urge the court to enforce its earlier order and make clear that these guardrails exist for anyone who is lawfully residing in the United States."

Republicans running for Congress ought to be asked if they agree with Trump that Medicare and Medicaid shouldn't exist and see how slow they are to give an answer, if they give an answer at all.

It's still a long way to mid-term elections. As much as Trump loves to lie or change his mind, it's not worth worrying about what he says for now. But I don't blame retired folks if they can't forgive Trump for saying that.

Take the video of him saying this and run it in every tightly contested race. Play it on loop. Remind srs and those approaching retirement he is advocating taking away their health insurance w his own words. Plaster it over social media. Bring it up over and over in debates. Every press conference. Every podcast. Every town hall. Over and over.
