aura Loomer claims another victim
Laura Loomer has taken credit for the ousting of Catholic activist Carrie Prejean Boller from President Donald Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission—the latest in a growing list of figures the conservative activist has taken credit for having helped to push out.
Boller was removed from the commission on Wednesday after a fiery hearing two days before when she clashed with several Jewish figures over the definition of anti-Semitism.
Loomer
posted “Loomered” on X after the news of Boller’s removal was announced by commission Chair and Republican Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, who said: “No member of the commission has the right to hijack a hearing for their own personal and political agenda on any issue.”
The “Loomered” comment was posted among multiple other posts about Boller getting fired and came just before Loomer
said the White House had confirmed to her that it directed Patrick to remove her. The White House has not confirmed the move and
Newsweek has reached out via email for comment.
Loomer is a fierce Trump loyalist and has
repeatedly been linked to culling certain figures from the administration, including Los Angeles U.S. Attorney Adam Schleifer and former National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, among other aides, although the president has denied that she was the reason behind any firings.
How Carrie Prejean Boller Was ‘Loomered’
Loomer called for Boller’s removal from the commission, connecting her to “Islamists and jihadi sympathizers” and referencing Boller’s Tuesday post that showed Palestinian flags and the logo for the nonprofit Palestine House of Freedom behind her. Boller was posing with Sameerah Munshi, an American Muslim activist who serves on an advisory board for Trump’s commission, and Miko Peled, a pro-Palestine Israeli activist.
“This is every Zionist supremacists worst nightmare,” Boller said. “Muslims, Christians and Jews all united under the banner of religious freedom. We condemn Zionist supremacy and the demanding we deny our individual faith for the fear of being called an antisemite.”
Loomer told her 18 million followers: “Contact [Dan Patrick] and tell him to FIRE Carrie Prejean Boller.”
Less than half an hour later, Loomer made another post, saying Boller had “attended the commission with Palestine House of Freedom.”
“Carrie Prejean Boller must be FIRED from the Commission,” Loomer said. “It’s become obvious to many that the Trump administration has been completely infiltrated by jihadist, pro Islamic terror Muslims who seek fake alliances with Catholics and Christians to push Chrislam on the United States.”
At almost the same time, Patrick posted that Boller had been removed from the commission.
“No member of the Commission has the right to hijack a hearing for their own personal and political agenda on any issue,” Patrick
said. “This is clearly, without question, what happened Monday in our hearing on antisemitism in America. This was my decision.”
A few hours later, Loomer
responded to Boller’s post saying: “I dare them to fire me. It will only prove my point. Zionist supremacy on full display. Bring it on.”
“They just fired you,” Loomer said.
She posted her “Loomered” comment before sharing an
open letter from Poller questioning Patrick’s authority to fire her, saying that Trump was the one who appointed her.
“I can confirm that the White House directed Dan Patrick to remove Carrie Prejean Boller from the White House Religious Liberty Commission,” Loomer said.
“You’re fired. Per orders from the TRUMP WHITE HOUSE,” she added. “The White House confirmed this to me.”
Boller responded on Thursday on X: “Laura, you’ve spent the last 48 hours pretending to be the White House spokesperson. I want to know, who’s lying? You or Dan? Dan Patrick said that it was his decision to remove me from President Trump’s commission, Now, you’re saying, it was at the direction of the White House?
“Let’s be clear: President Donald J. Trump has never needed a middleman with no credibility like you, to say ‘You’re fired,'” Boller continued. “If I was really removed, we’d hear it from the President himself.”
“Prove your access Laura, I’ll wait,” Boller added.
