Trump 47

First GOP lawmakers condemn Trump over Rob Reiner post: 'I challenge anyone to defend it'

Political expediency. It shows you how fake the whole thing was before. And this is too.

IDK. If shes playing the changed person political game, shes been doing a really good job of it the past couple of months.

I tend to look for the best in people and I think/hope shes seen the administration for what it is and wants nothing to do with it anymore. Time will tell.

She and AOC should without cameras and handlers/staff sit down together and spend an afternoon without insults talking about things they agree on. I would bet given their backgrounds there are 3-5 issues (probably more) they have agreement in a broader sense. Like health insurance costs. Then without focusing on details they don’t agree, come up a plan to get those 3 or so policies in place. There probably are compromises each would have to make, but my guess is they are closer together than anyone would bet.

They both got elected based in part on the message that the average working person is getting screwed by the political system.

Trump’s post on Rob Reiner draws blowback from Republicans the hill

...
Prominent right-wing journalist Laura Loomer, however, came to Trump’s defense.

“Psychosis is a real thing. Rob Reiner had a level of TDS that likely exuded a level of craziness around those he spent time with,” Loomer wrote on X.

“Many people who have crazy kids have psychiatric issues themselves,” she continued, noting celebrity children often become “total dead beat losers because many were raised to have no accountability by parents who subscribe to hardcore liberalism.”

“Trump is right. Reiner himself sounded insane when he would speak. Imagine how crazy his own kid was… on drugs. We have a mental health crisis in America,” Loomer said.

Once again, Trump gave voters fair warning what he would be like as president when he was caught on video in 2024 saying, "I'm not Christian". I guess be thankful that overall half of all voters wisely headed that warning, but it wasn't enough for the Electoral College, especially in the battleground states. But what can you do but blame the Democrats in 2024 for not coming up with a better candidate, while not doing a good enough job to counter the demonizing Republicans did against her and the Democrat party.

While you are not wrong, being a christian or labeling yourself one has nothing to do with having basic empathy and showing kindness to fellow humans. He lacks that and it has been on display over and over in numerous scenarios and contexts.

rolling Biden out there in that debate was a SNAFU...finding the replacement was a cluster &*%$...I personally thought it would still be OK; no way tRump gets elected again after being a terrible leader the first go AND January 6 (deal breaker)...

Maybe Trump has the $18 trillion confused with new developments announced. But that amount is highly questionable as well. Other than data centers, I know of no big plans announced for Oklahoma this year. With education in Oklahoma being so bad, I'm not surprised. New tech jobs in Oklahoma are down, not up. The new data center for Stillwater was announced when Biden was president.
