I think Trump will be allowed to go on displaying dementia in strange, non-factual ways as long as they don't lead to actions that cause the killings of Republicans or to their close friends and relatives.
Maybe I missed it, but I never heard of any odd Ukraine Impeachment controversy. Maybe it's only going on in Trump's demented head. As for Watergate, Trump said he learned a lot from Nixon, so maybe Nixon told him it was just a hoax, probably as a way to run him out of office. To Trump, it will possibly require a hoax in his head to somehow get rid of him.

How strange. He has said before that he doubts he needs to ask God for forgiveness because he doesn't make mistakes. But then he has said before, "I'm not Christian". What goes on in a demented mind can be very strange.
