Remember when Biden pardoned a bunch of people related to his administration right at the end of his term and people were questioning it. Looks pretty smart right now.

And not that they did anything illegal either. It seems this administrations justice department is more about protecting political enemies of the president than actual justice.

While the second White House official stressed that the organizations were not necessarily potential targets, the material provides insight into the administration's thinking.
The list includes Soros' Open Society Foundations; ActBlue, the funding arm of the Democratic Party; Indivisible, a grassroots coalition opposed to Trump policies and the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights, a Los Angeles-based group.
"The goal is to destabilize Soros’ network," a third White House official said.
Ezra Levin, a spokesperson for Indivisible, said the group has never organized or called for violence. "These smears are designed to delegitimize our movement," he said.
Carter Christensen, an ActBlue spokesperson, said Trump's crackdown was an attempt to silence dissent. "We take our legal and civic responsibilities seriously," he said.
Angelica Salas, the executive director of CHIRLA, said the group advocates peaceful engagement. “The Trump Administration continues to spread misinformation and false allegations," she said in a statement. "But it will not work."
Other groups on the list include two Jewish nonprofits that oppose Israel's war in Gaza - IfNotNow and Jewish Voice for Peace. IfNotNow declined to comment, while Jewish Voice for Peace did not respond to a request for comment.

A federal grand jury in Virginia has indicted New York Attorney General Letitia James on one count of bank fraud and one count of making a false statement to a financial institution — charges that come after steady pressure from President Trump to prosecute one of his longtime political foes.

James, a Democrat who pledged to investigate Trump during her campaign, eventually sued Trump and his company for inflating the value of some of its properties, winning more than $450 million in the civil business fraud case. The financial penalty was later thrown out on appeal.

At one of his own campaign rallies last year, Trump called for both James and the judge in that case to "be arrested and punished accordingly." The president has been persistent in his calls since taking office, writing "JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED" in a post on TruthSocial last month that was directed at Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Thursday's indictment accuses James of lying on her application for a $109,600 mortgage to buy a property in Norfolk, Va. in 2020, alleging she promised her financial lenders it would be a secondary property for her personal use — but that she instead rented it out. The government says she benefited from "ill-gotten gains" of $18,933 from rental proceeds, a lower borrowing rate and a higher seller credit.
