Trump 47

Yes, he REALLY said that, live on air.

“What do we do about our country?” Fox News's Earhardt pressed, after Trump complained about the state of the nation he leads. “How do we fix this country? How do we come back together?”

“I tell you something that is going to get me in trouble, but I couldn’t care less,” Trump replied.

So what did he say after that?

So what did he say after that?
EARHARDT: We have radicals on the right as well. How do we fix this country?

TRUMP: I'll tell you something that's gonna get me in trouble but I couldn't care less. The radicals on the right oftentimes are radical because they don't want to see crime. The radicals on the left are the problem.

Yep. A lot of good people on both sides to only one side has bad people. That's on target for him.

Bigger question-was it a live interview or did they do the AI thing again? Because he didn't look good yesterday

God, stop making me defend him. Huff Post has this exact quote cutoff and it's disgusting to mis-represent him. He's already garbage. He's already horrible and everyone is already up in arms about everything.

HE DIDNT SAY HE COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT BRINGING THE COUNTRY TOGETHER, HE SAID HE COULDN'T CARE LESS IF HE GETS IN TROUBLE FOR WHAT HE WAS ABOUT TO SAY.

I don't want to get kicked off the board, so I'll try to communicate tactfully but you being so underhanded with these kinds of posts. You're the kind of dude that goes around telling half truth's to everyone to get them upset at each other - it honestly reminds me of Trump himself. You're just like the opposite of him, but the same tactics. It's gross.

You are correct. It’s easy to conflate by how he worded it, but he was saying he didn’t care that he’d get in trouble for what he was about to say. Then he went on a rant about how all the political violence is because of the “Radical Left.” Which dangerously exacerbates the issue and ignores the statistics we just discussed.

“Radicals on the left are the problem and they are vicious and horrible and politically savvy. They want men in women’s sports, they want transgender for everyone, open borders. Worst thing that happened to this country,” Trump said, while ignoring right-wing attacks on left or centrist politicians by right-wing assailants.

Exactly.

HE DIDNT SAY HE COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT BRINGING THE COUNTRY TOGETHER, HE SAID HE COULDN'T CARE LESS IF HE GETS IN TROUBLE FOR WHAT HE WAS ABOUT TO SAY.
He didn't say he couldn't care less about bringing the country together, he said he couldn't care less if he gets in trouble for what he was about to say. I agree.

And then.....he said something that clearly shows he couldn't care less about bringing the country together.

If we are serious about tackling mental health, free, easily accessible mental healthcare should be available to the general public and a change in attitude about therapy would go a long way.

Until we make serious changes, I feel like things will be stuck here.
I'd love to see that.

However, I think that would make minimal difference in our gun problems.

When people with dementia are asked questions, their responses can vary a lot depending on the stage of dementia, the type (e.g., Alzheimer’s, vascular, Lewy body), and the situation. Some common things you might see include:

1.They might repeat the question back instead of answering (“What did you have for lunch?” → “What did I have for lunch?”). They may give the same answer to multiple different questions.

2. Instead of specifics, they may respond with broad or noncommittal phrases like “Oh, you know,” “Not sure,” or “It was fine.”

3. To fill gaps in memory, they might unintentionally create details or stories that sound convincing but aren’t accurate.

4. They may not answer at all, look confused, or change the subject. Sometimes they’ll give up quickly with “I don’t know” or “I can’t remember.”

5. They might respond with something unrelated, reflecting what’s on their mind rather than what was asked.

6. Processing takes longer. Pauses can be long, but the person may eventually answer if given time.

7. Frustration, embarrassment, or anger if they realize they can’t find the answer. Sometimes humor, laughter, or trying to redirect the conversation.

8. Shrugs, facial expressions, or gestures instead of words.

The proposal from the Bureau of Land Management would prioritize the use of public lands for oil and gas drilling, coal mining, timber production and livestock grazing. The Biden administration, in contrast, had championed their use for conservation, recreation and renewable energy development.
......

The Bureau of Land Management, sometimes called the nation’s largest landlord, has for decades offered leases for the development of public lands, including for oil drilling and cattle ranching. But some of these activities have fragmented and destroyed critical habitat for wildlife. At the same time, climate change has fueled more frequent and more severe wildfires and drought across the American West.

The Biden-era rule, which was finalized in April 2024, sought to put conservation on equal footing with development for the first time since the Bureau of Land Management was established in 1946. It allowed the agency to offer two new types of leases for the restoration of degraded lands and for offsetting environmental damage.
......

“Hunters, anglers, hikers and backpackers all praised the public lands rule because it helps ensure access to public lands for future generations,” Ms. Rokala said. “Public lands management is a balancing act, and you just tipped the scales back to the 19th century, when robber barons ran the country, exploiting our lands for personal gain.”

In Milan, Mr. Burgum alluded to “deals that are being signed” with other countries to purchase more liquefied natural gas from the United States. He also declared that artificial intelligence was a more pressing concern than global warming.
