Trump 47

OK. So, the point isn’t which candidate had more money. It would be whose contribution made the biggest impact on the results of the election. Are you saying Trump definitely would have won without Elon’s contribution?

Regarding the Nazi salute… you got me. I watched both videos in full context. Not just the edit you shared. Corey Booker is obviously a Nazi sympathizer and Elon was making a really awkward and forceful wave. Well-played. 🤣
Friendly advice.....

Think about the person you're engaging with and whether it's worth your time.

If it is for you.....have fun!

Yes, you seem unaware, or want to ignore, that Harris significantly outspent Trump and want to live in your fantasyland that Musk bought the election. (Harris received more money in the three months of her candidacy than Trump received for the entire year.)
So, for campaign finance, total amount is the only data point that matters?

If one candidate got one billion by getting $10 from 100,000,000 and the other got 900,000,000 from 10 people you would see the billion as the issue?

I appreciate the advice and take it to heart. I don’t mind challenging my opinions/beliefs and doing some due diligence in response. At the same time, I recognize not everyone is engaging in good faith, so I need to know where to draw the line.

Thanks for the reminder!

Wow. Elon Musk's tweet about Trump being in the Epstein Files was posted while Joe Rogan was interviewing Kash Patel. Patel was clearly caught off guard.

Rogan: Jesus Christ.

Patel: I'm not participating in any of that conversation.

Rogan: Jesus Christ, that’s a crazy thing to say...

Patel: ...I'm just staying out of the Trump-Elon thing. That's way out of my lane...I know my lane—and that ain’t it.

I bet the Saudis buy it for like $300 billion

President Trump has decided to sell the red Tesla he got in March, less than 24 hours after the president and Elon Musk engaged in a public spat, according to a White House official speaking on condition of anonymity.

1) I made zero points about the hypothetical if Trump would have won or not. One side spent just shy of $1.5B. The other side spent $720M. Saying someone, on the side of $720M, “bought the election” is factually ignorant.

2) Neither are nazi-salutes.

At some point, partisans need to own up to the hypocritical nature. The answer always from the partisans ..it is (D)ifferent.

I never said anything about “total amount is the only data point that matters”. Just pointed out the ignorance of the statement. It is just like MAGAs claiming election fraud. Facts don’t seem to matter for partisans.

As for you second question, I don’t see one being more of an issue than the other. People should be free to spend what they want with their own money. Certainly you are not advocating for taking away personal freedoms are you?

Some people care more about the narrative than the truth.

Case in point, see above.

Capitol agenda: GOP leaders rush into Elon Musk damage control politico

“Elon is getting too personal. It’s getting out of control,” Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas) told POLITICO. “Some of the most recent comments, I think: Elon, you’ve lost your mind.”

this comment made me LOL...who else gets too personal and out of control on his attacks?!...why do republicans give don a free pass on this?! if it wasn´t so comical, it would be sad...actually it is sad...smh...

You literally made total amount the only data point in your argument. I guess you’re right. Facts really don’t matter for partisans.

100% would take away the "freedom" of the extremely wealthy to buy our government.

Very similar to not being able to yell "fire" in a crowded theater. Freedoms are not absolute. Certainly you are not claiming that they are?

BREAKING: Los Angeles protests erupt over ongoing ICE raids. NBC News' @jacobsoboroff reports on the ground on @allinwithchris.

No freedoms are not absolute. I do not think yelling “fire” is a comparable analogy, but I think you know that. If you wanted a theater analogy a more direct comparison would be someone having enough money to make/distribute one movie versus another person using their millions to make/distribute several movies.

I absolutely think someone should be able to use their own money to advocate for what they want as a better America. Not saying you are claiming this, but anyone claiming Musk bought the election is laughable.

I also strongly disagree with Trump’s attempt to stifle speech from national media. National media solidly supported Harris over Trump and that support had hundreds of millions in value. But that is their right.

Pam Bondi is now claiming Kilmar Abrego García was found guilty of running a “human smuggling ring.”

That’s a lie.

📄 The indictment (Case 3:25-cr-00115) lists 2 charges: conspiracy + transport.
No plea. No trial. No verdict.
And no “ring” — not one other name is listed.

The story she’s spinning is wild. The only reason they’re going this far is to make it look like we requested his return — not that the U.S. government was forced by the Supreme Court.

Trump’s four latest executive orders, signed today, aren’t just about innovation—they’re about handing the sky to private contractors and calling it “security.”

What’s really happening:
— Expanded surveillance powers
— Weakened civilian oversight
— No guardrails for civil liberties
— Infrastructure recast as a combat zone

This isn’t modernization. It’s militarization. And it’s happening fast—with no public debate.
