Just looking for answers because I don’t have a clue as to why we’re going this way.
Trump inherited a decent stock market, inflation was coming steadily down, and drug cost were coming down. Our failing infrastructure was finally getting addressed, etc. Granted, Biden had his faults, but there was no good reason to continually act as though he is the worst president ever. Sure Trump won, but to claim a mandate to do all this stuff no one even heard of prior to the election is beyond me. People were warned about Project 2025, but apparently they didn’t believe this would push us toward fascism. Who voted for tariffs? Who voted for Elon and company having unlimited power to riffle through everything and fire people with wreckless abandon. Why would Trump install persons to high offices that clearly are unqualified? Why does Trump, so obviously, want to steer us toward Putin and against our traditional allies? To me, it seems he’s trying to destroy us domestically and abroad. My only thought on all of this is Putin must have tremendous dirt on Trump, and to keep it hidden he’s willing to destroy our norms, and embrace wholeheartedly Putin. Golden showers? Nah, wouldn’t change a single vote by Republicans. Maybe Jared managed to get that secretly illegal back channel accomplished and Putin’s playing him and all of us. Why does he continue to do what no one voted for? Any other suggestions? I just can’t figure it out.
