Trump 47

Remember when millions fell for this line?

"when I win, I will immediately bring prices down. Starting on day one."
For those who “zzz” this, please help me to understand what he is doing to bring prices down? This is/was a huge concern for most Americans and it no longer seems to be a big issue to him or magas… or did you know he was “stretching the truth” AGAIN?!

How about

“If you like your health plan, you can keep it” or another favorite, “I will not pardon him”.

this is a stupid game.
not a game, if we were to make it a game though, it would be over quickly with donnie´s MANY broken promises...so you are good with continuing to pay high prices, Mr. Whatabout?

I did some more googling and I found where a person was prosecuted for falsely accusing his co-workers of joining the Capitol riot. Was your friend's daughter prosecuted? If not, why not?
So you're seriously asking me why a liberal dry snitch wasn't prosecuted for fake whistleblowing on her parents? Maybe the z king @CowboyJD can answer that for you. 🙄

Kaine: "Yesterday the DOGE guys post classified information on their website, and they had to realize, 'Oh, we didn't realize that agency was a classified agency.' You shouldn't let people rampage through offices that have classified information."

I like how your demented president put us in this situation yet the only game you can play is "why didn't prices go down already?"

So yeah it's a game. Your game.

The president’s cryptic social media post set off alarm bells for his critics—and cheers from MAGA nation.

As a journalist who covers extremism at the local level, I think it’s a mistake to view Trump’s Napoleonic statement as solely about presidential power. Consider if it’s interpreted as a wink and a nod for any extremist to act outside the law to “save” the country as they see fit

We are very early but very active in the FA portion of the show.

We are starting to see announcements in the private sector of 10-25 percent labor reductions. Combine that with government layoffs and taking 2 trillion out of the economy and increasing the costs of goods and we have the potential for a train wreck.

Take a look at energy prices. The curve on oil for remainder of 25 is 68ish while 26 is 65ish. With the price of steel set to go through the roof, field labor costs getting ready to explode and borrowing costs too high E&P companies will burn through cash and be forced to lay down rigs and cut expenses.

Another macro problem is the assault on Europe. Look at Europe’s population (double that of US). Divide it up into European Union and Eastern Europe (basically 2/3 v 1/3). Then look at Russia’s population. Next do a comparison of US v Europe (again breakout EU and Eastern Europe) and Russia and household income. Then look at wealth disparity. US has a sizeable advantage but our huge wealth disparity skews ours upward.

Basically all of this says US corporations cannot survive without Europe. If US corps struggle US workers struggle. Russia is on the verge of turning Eastern Europe into Russia. Think that’s not possible? Putin’s version of Musk said yesterday that if the AdF doesn’t win in Germany Russia and the US will divide up Germany.

This admin is playing a giant game of jenga. Take trillions out. Lay off too many. Energy companies are the headwind and we are already seeing huge problems. We are one jenga block away from big problems. Corrections are a good thing. Cutting wasteful spending is good. Too much too fast at the wrong places without critical long term thinking is disastrous. We are getting ready to turn the entire us into Oklahoma.

It's just not the knee slapper you seem to think it is. I mean for FFS we haven't even had a recordable month of pricing variance since he has been in office yet, and your acting confused as to why everyone's hair isn't on fire.

And yes, not one voter believed there would be a day one drop in prices. Its a four-year term. Here is what's going to happen. Prices will continue to rise this year. You will mock this situation daily. Then in 2026 they will start crawling back. Trump will take credit for finally getting "Bidens increases under control". When this happens, your side will make up every reason known to man as to why the current Admin had nothing to do with it... Rinse Repeat. Both sides will leave the argument knowing that they are correct.

Also, I personally do not believe this was the #1 swinger of the election.

most experts like to blame ´this situation´ (worldwide, mind you) on the after effects of covid aftershock, but I´m sure you disagree with that as well...but it was your guy that says it would be fixed day one...his words, not mine...just wonder why so many still go for the bait??

100% correct

Asking about high prices one month into a new Presidency is beyond silly and showing that someone only concerns themselves with issues while wearing a highly partisan lens.

We just went through a couple of years of near record inflation during our adult lifetimes. Biden and his administration made multiple statements early on that inflation was not and would not be an issue. Then when it was a huge growing issue he unbelievably claimed that he inherited 9% inflation. And Biden, and America, was saved from even further inflationary issues by Manchin voting against the Build Back Better bill right as inflation started to explode.

I think you will find many of us agree on a lot of things to criticize Trump. But daily complaining of eggs prices 30-days into a new administration may resonate with the zzz’s bros, but rings hollow to those with critical thinking.

I think it´s a knee slapper...I actually chuckled to myself...but to each his/her own...LOL
anywho, I agree with your statement that there has not been enough time, but I guarantee there are many ignorants who believed him! They may indeed start crawling back unless his tariff war infatuation gets out of hand...
Economy was quite important to the magas:

my initial post was done tongue in cheek, for a chuckle (admittedly mostly for myself)...however, it has ruffled quite a few panties...I shall chalk it up as a minor Dub!...LOL

Doesn’t matter what political affiliation you are; everyone should listen to the Joe Rogan interviews with Mike Benz, former State Department official and founder of Foundation for Freedom Online.

There are two shows, both available on youtube or Spotify or other places. He spells out how the CIA and the State Departments of all presidents since JFK have used the USAID, both positively and negatively. It is a brutal history lesson - for both parties - and he brings the receipts for everything he says. Frankly, spending the 4 hours or so it takes to get through it should be college credit, as it is pure political science, and very informative.

I watched about half. Not that it wasn't good, that is just far beyond the attention span limits of an ER doc. This is sort of getting to see how the sausage is made for the government. I don't think any of it is a huge surprise, other than USAID doing what I always figured was CIA/NSA
I do 100% agree with his idea of a firewall between domestic implementation of the spy games that work particularly well in foreign operations.
Also, seems there should be better oversight about the long term effects of the short term gains. Has nobody in government ever heard of the law of unintended consequences?
