do you ever get tired of losing these little battles you like to fight?! LOL
your comment made me think of what MANY christians say daily...If I meant to reply directly to you, I´d do it this way; you know, quote a message...bless your heart...

Getting more thumbs up than the next guy around HERE is not a sign of winning the battle.

6. Free Markets. Trump might as well declare the end to the federal minimum wage by issuing an EO to end it. After all, his corporate buddies would love to use the freed-up labor market to see how many people they can hire for a few dollars an hour. It could be realistic when the unemployment rate becomes unusually high.
Free Market Manipulation. India offering better tariff deal on cars produced in India...so POTUS threatens CEO of the company.

Trump warns Elon Musk building a Tesla factory in India would be ‘very unfair’ to his administration

  • The U.S. President does not support Tesla building cars in India, the world's third-largest car market. Foreign brands, however, only compete for about a third of overall demand—and total EV sales are vestigial, growing to just 100,000 vehicles last year.
President Donald Trump warned Elon Musk he would not take kindly to seeing one of his administration’s chief advisors build a manufacturing plant in India.

The Tesla CEO met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week amid speculation the country could lower tariffs on imported cars, potentially paving the way for Tesla to launch in India. Local media reports suggested Tesla could enter the market in April, selling vehicles shipped from its factory in Germany.

Musk, thus far, has avoided India. At just 100,000 EVs sold last year, demand for high-tech cars like a Tesla isn’t remotely large enough to support local manufacturing and punitive duties that can double the cost of a premium-priced car.

“If he built the factory in India […] that’s unfair to us,” said Trump, who only last week claimed he had Musk under tight control. “It’s very unfair.”

Tesla did not respond to a Fortune request for comment.

Mike Lee pushes to limit judges from blocking Trump’s Executive Orders

As the Trump administration grows frustrated with what they consider activist judges, Lee is preparing to introduce legislation that would limit the ability of a single district court judge to unilaterally block a presidential order through a nationwide injunction. Instead, Lee proposes such a move must be issued by a three-judge district court with the possibility of a “direct appeal” to the Supreme Court.

“The federal judiciary must uphold the system of checks and balances, including restraining the Executive Branch when it violates the Constitution,” Lee said in a statement to the Deseret News. “At the same time, separation of powers required by the Constitution is potentially implicated whenever a single district court judge issues an injunction against the entire U.S. government, with nationwide application.”

It’s not yet clear when that legislation may be introduced, but Lee told the Deseret News it is currently in the works.

Lee has long called for judicial reform, warning against the practice of “judge shopping,” referring to instances in which attorneys file lawsuits to specific courts or districts to ensure a favorable ruling.

The Utah senator has also argued that single judges in district courts should not have the ability to pause nationwide executive orders, decrying that ability as judicial overreach.

“There’s been a fair amount of controversy about injunctive orders from courts purporting to have nationwide application,” Lee told the Deseret News in an interview. “This would be one way of dealing with that.”

Hispanic GOP House Members flex their muscles and demands of Trump

GOP majority is 219- 215 in the house. The Smallest Majority in the House since 1931. It takes 218 Votes to pass a resolution in the House. Meaning the GOP can only lose 1 vote and then they can't pass anything.

Without the Hispanic GOP House members on their side, Trump / House won't be able to pass the budget resolution Trump endorsed yesterday that calls for Cuts to Medicare, SNAP, Pell Grants, Social Security...etc etc etc

Hispanic House Republicans send warning shot on budget resolution

A group of eight House Republicans in the Congressional Hispanic Conference sent a warning shot to Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on the chamber’s budget resolution that outlines sweeping cuts as part of advancing President Trump’s legislative agenda, adding to the complexity of getting enough support in the slim GOP majority to advance it on the House floor next week.

The members, led by conference Chair Tony Gonzales (R-Texas), in a Wednesday evening letter called on Johnson to ensure “essential programs” like Medicaid, Pell Grants, and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits “are not caught in the crossfire.”

“Nearly 30% of Medicaid enrollees are Hispanic Americans, and for many families across the country, Medicaid is their only access to healthcare. Slashing Medicaid would have serious consequences, particularly in rural and predominantly Hispanic communities where hospitals and nursing homes are already struggling to keep their doors open,” the letter said.

It also warned against cutting funding for Pell Grants because “Hispanic students make up a significant share of Pell Grant recipients.”

And finally, it mentioned SNAP: “While we fully support efforts to eliminate fraud, waste, and abuse, we must ensure that assistance programs—such as SNAP—remain protected as nearly 22% of Hispanic families rely on this critical program as a temporary safety net during difficult times.”

An Oregon judge who put up a portrait of Hitler in his courtroom and refused to perform marriages for the LGBTQ community has just been named to a senior post in Donald Trump’s Department of Justice. Vance Day was suspended by the Oregon Supreme Court, and then rejected by Oregon voters.

Vance Day says he’ll work as senior counsel to the deputy attorney general. Day was suspended for three years by the Oregon Supreme Court in 2018 without pay.

I'm not a Christian. Assumptions are cool.

Of course other people in our society break the law. WTF kind of question is that?

It's not my place to forgive any crimes.

I don't want 'them' in our country if they're here illegally.
Trump, too, has said before, "I'm not Christian". That explains his lack of compassion for Iranian Christians.

These are not democrats or republicans. They are opportunists and grifters. The quicker we can all agree on that, the quicker things get fixed. Right now the Right are the targets of the grift / con.

These people do not care about the average citizen, at all. Musk wants power and control over absolutely everything, and has the mental maturity of a 12yo. Tulsi is a Russian plant. Trump is only about trump (and money). And RFK is effed in the head from years of drub abuse.

Honestly, I actually agree with some of what RFK says. It's the batsh&t crazy stuff he says, and the way he goes about it, that totally overshadows the semi-sane stuff.

The Hitler portrait thing is a bit of a red herring when you look at the facts. It wasn't in the courtroom though it was in the courthouse. Additionally it was part of a collage honoring veterans that had graduated from veteran's court. He stated, "The wall art was not intended to honor fascism, but to honor the Americans that defeated the dreadful ideology." I'm inclined to believe him on that because it was taken down a few weeks later after another judge pointed out it might be misinterpreted.

He did allow a convicted felon to handle firearms and later lied about it. I'm personally more concerned with that than either the Hitler picture of the referring LGBTQ marriages to other judges.

Per the Local Fox station
he was also accused of intimidating a soccer Ref

Served as the Chairman of the Oregon Republican Party from 2005 to 2009

Why was Vance Day suspended from the bench?

The backstory:

According to The Oregonian, Day was suspended from the bench for the following reasons:

  • Refusing to perform same-sex weddings, then later refusing to officiate any weddings
  • Intimidating a soccer referee at his son’s soccer game, then lying about it when questioned.
  • Falsely claiming he didn't know that a veteran in a court over which he presided had a felony conviction, then allowing said veteran to handle guns in his presence. Felons are prohibited from owning or using firearms in Oregon.
  • Taking money from lawyers, some of whom appeared before him in court, to sponsor veteran-related wall hangings in the courthouse hallways.
  • Hanging up a picture of Hitler in the courthouse (Day said the picture of Hitler was in the context of a liberal democracy defeating fascism)
The formal complaint against Day accused him of violating judicial rules involving "integrity, impartiality and independence," and one prohibiting "dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation," The Oregonian reports. The complaint also alleged he acted in a manner that "reflects adversely on the judge's character, competence, temperament, or fitness to serve as a judge."

I don't understand what's so hard to understand about my position on Ukraine. If they want to be a free independent country they need to get rid of all the foreign influence and money. It's a pretty simple concept. So no Borris isn't hitting any nails on the head. Trump isn't either. Zelinsky needs to have elections. Cancelling elections is what dictators do. Wars aren't an excuse. We have never missed an election in the U.S. because of a war. Civil war and all the Indian wars fought on U.S. soil included.

The US hasn’t gotten rid of the foreign influence. Why do they need to do something we won’t?

So a "free and independent country" can't have allies to support them?

No foreign influence or money = being taken over by Russia.
