How should you approach the day if you work w international families here on student visas and their elementary school children come into your office everyday because they are being told at school they are going to be sent to prison in other countries and won’t ever see their parents again?
How very privileged of you to get to be happy w how this admin is behaving.

or you work for a Global Company that has People from 100+ different countries working in offices all over America and they have to suspend their Work travel and miss important international Meetings because they aren't sure if they leave the country on a Valid Work Visa if they will be Allowed Back with the Same Valid Work Visa they had once come here on.
Or multiple different departments having to write contingency plans based on what will be the order of succession for positions if some of those positions are held by LEGAL Immigrants but this admin decides to Deport them anyway on Whim and how do you keep work flow unimpacted when (IT ALREADY HAS) happens
OR you import some goods to the US and then export those goods to Canada and Mexico or South America. Now you are hit with Multiple Tariffs and increased your costs by a Factor of 10 OR HIGHER, because the logistics system you have set up and utilize your company relied on the promises set up in the NAFTA and USMCA for Trade policy.
Now the USMCA that Trump himself signed (he now calls horrible) and has scrapped in favor of insane Tariffs has made your Logistics plan an Exuberant Expense and cost for the company that will need to be passed on to Customers via MUCH higher prices.

Pretty sure they tanked it for exactly that reason. I was saying that about his Mexico and Canada tariff game in March, and now it looks like was just a practice run for this one.

This attitude of privilege is the thing that makes this most difficult for me.
Sure it’s easy to chose to be happy if you get to spend all day every day w your head buried in your @$$.
People like you are actually living this chaos every day. Dealing w logistics and economics is difficult in and of itself but dealing w people making difficult decisions and being forced into difficult decisions is heart breaking. It’s happening to a lot of people and families.

Choosing to be happy is a good thing and doesn’t require you to be ignorant. However, allowing someone, even someone powerful like the President, to negatively affect your attitude and/or feelings does seem like a poor decision.

I'm very happy, no matter who is POTUS, and I can be happy while still understanding and calling out wrongdoing by a POTUS.

Doesn't appear you've reached that point of "not caring who's mad, what they're mad about, who they're recruiting to be mad with them".
If you had, you wouldn't be here actually arguing with the folks that are mad about how they shouldn't be mad.
