I see… the players would have been to Omaha with Ward? The players must have some accountability, right? So any of the other SR coaches would have been better than Josh and the team would be in Omaha?I do blame Holiday, just like I blamed Gundy for last fall. We shouldn’t have been in the position of having to pull it out. The Holiday Choke is an annual event

I hear you, but it’s a different era now. I sat behind the OSU bench at the final Duke game at the Athens Regional and I was surprised with all the joking around in the dugout by the OSU players. They seemed to have an attitude that they were better than Duke and would win 2-0. I guess it was viewed as better to be joking around rather than being tense and serious. With today’s players a coach similar to Ward who would be strict and a disciplinarian would not keep today’s players. They would transfer in a heart beat if the HC was a strict disciplinarian.#1 A Ward team would know how to hit
#2 A Ward team would know how to field
Holiday is lackluster at best. However, since I have an untrained eye and don’t have his obvious baseball IQ I might as well bow to Josh’s fanboys and profess my never ending NIL Allegiance and buy my O’Brate seat to not sit in until my untrained eyes become trained to appreciate the splendor of what Joshy puts on the field. Josh is great, Strikeouts good, Who needs Omaha, Untrained eyes lying to me again….,
I didn’t think Duke was better than us and Murray State is the hot team and may end up winning the College World Series this year. Warren Nolan has winning prediction of 45% Murray State and 55% Duke for game three.Duke is destined for a deep run. Seems like the team that ousts us (who usually feels like we shouldn't have lost to...) ends up with a surprising amount of success after
No he and the entire staff should be gone as should have been Gundy.I hear you, but it’s a different era now. Being up close to the players and observing and listening in, I realized these are really immature kids and not professional ball players. Now is this behavior due to Josh’s leadership style or due to today’s players having immature attitude in the dugout. Even the first base coach was joking around with the players in the dugout during the game. I think this attitude may have contributed to some poor plays at the end of the game resulting in a loss. Maybe Josh needs to do a Gundy and replace all the assistant coaches.
They have transfers from other programs with their catcher from Louisville and CF who hit 2 HR Hogart transferred from Louisiana Tech. Missouri Valley and SunBelt rule NCAA baseball baby!!!Wonder what Murray State’s NIL looks like…
And only 3 of the top 8 national seeds made it to Omaha this yearBig 12
SEC
SEC
ACC
Big 10
Independent/Pac 12
Sun Belt
Missouri Valley
That's what makes college baseball great
Karma happened to Duke today as you can’t alway rely on reviews for wins!!!
I think the angst most of the OSU fan base has with Josh is he has underperformed given the OSU baseball history and resources (O’Brate). One can blame the type of players today, but how does Van Horn at Arkansas get a consistent super regional program with these immature players? Oregon State is another good example.I hear you, but it’s a different era now. I think what you are trying to say is that he just doesn’t instill the mental toughness in these kids that those Gary Ward teams had!!!I think the angst most of the OSU fan base has with Josh is he has underperformed given the OSU baseball history and resources (O’Brate). I believe a good coach (you can extrapolate that to a good leader) can get players to play at their highest level and be consistently high performing. Ward was a master at this. Kelvin Sampson and Coach K are good examples in basketball.
I think Josh is an above average baseball coach who really cares about his school but has underperformed. Hopefully I am wrong and he goes on a super regional streak, with some CWS thrown in and makes me eat crow (which I would gladly do).
