Honestly, I like it. I think college wrestling needs more of that. Personally, I think college wrestling doesn’t have to be perfect all the time. It’s good for the sport to have a little drama.

A few observations.

Whatever was ailing Swid early in the season is better, he's wrestling much better. Much more aggressive.

OMH, Vega. I expected Vega to win, but wasn't expecting him to pin the reigning Big 10 champ, last year's second-place finisher! And yeah, i really was yelling at the TV for his dad to stick his chest out!

Very tough lost for Robideaux.

Tough loss for Facundo. He was very close to a takedown twice, and pretty close another time. It was a match that very easily could have gone the other way.

Ryder basically never got into any offense.

I was disappointed that Doucet didn't tech fall that kid.
