SAVE act

not sure why they didn´t just come up with a simple solution to their ´problem´...make all states have voters show photo ID when voting...seems like all they really want voter suppression...

No, politicians are stupid.
OK. I must be slow on the draw. Help me connect your post to your stated point. Because I read it as ridiculing Schumer’s opposition to the SAVE Act. Considering this has been your only commentary on the bill, one might assume you support it.

The SAVE Act will NOT make it easier to purchase an AR than it will to register to vote. It's utterly ridiculous.

For a Married woman whose name on her DL doesn't match her Birth Cert, it would be easier to buy a Gun than Vote.

A Govt issued ID such as a Drivers License works for gun back ground checks, it would NOT work to register to vote for the same woman

You are incorrect.

A. You have to have a background check done to buy a firearm.

The end.

I think this might be your brother

Season 4 Episode 6 GIF by The Office

I have not bought a gun in OK yet, but I did sell a gun to a dealer here recently. During that exchange I had my paperwork from when I purchased the gun in Florida. That includes a background check and a wait period.

The guy behind the counter told me I was in a “free state” now that stuff isn’t necessary. I was like Ok, good to know. He came across as a bit of a douche, but I didn’t have any reason not to believe him.

Also, even though the whole easier to buy a gun thing is a bit of a strawman. What does it have in common with voting? Yep, constitutionally protected. I personally have my own opinion on which is more important, but I wouldn’t willy nilly start infringing upon anyone’s rights to do either. That seems to be the case here with this bill.

Private sales do not always require a background check.

I guess that’s like the post-credit scene at the end of MCU movies.

Now… the end.
And you can always have your dad go buy you a gun if you can't pass the background check. Doesn't make it legal.

The guy behind the counter was a federally licensed dealer, no?
