Sam Houston State Bearkats @ Oklahoma State Cowboys game thread

Accounting for the fact that 3s are worth more points than 2s and that 33.3% from 3 is equal to 50% from 2, let's analyze the data for each game this far.

Oral Roberts-51.1% on 2s, 48% eFG% on 3s
Texas A&M-62.5%, 40.4%,
Prairie View A&M-50%, 54%
Texas A&M-CC-70.6%, 31.2%
South Florida-64.3%, 75%
Nichols State-59%, 60%
Northwestern-51.2%, 41%

For the year, OSU is shooting 57.7% from 2 (which is outstanding!) and 32.9% from 3 (eFG% of 49.4%). That is a difference of 17.2 points per 100 possessions better on 2 point shots than 3 point shots.

OSU also shooting 76.6% at the FT line and would get there more often attacking the rim.
Sam Houston State-65.1%, 39.2%

Looking around the league and A&M is still winning, beating FSU and now Pitt. Big game vs SMU next. OU killed a good wake forest team today too. Hope we handle GCU easily to give us a healthy full week of prep for OU

Hope we get some good news on Miller's status. He has been the backcourt catalyst this team so far along with Fallah anchoring the frontcourt.
He came out of the locker room at the half. Was walking very gingerly. Took some shots but didn’t jump and wasn’t pushing off. During time outs and post game he was walking better.

Another concern is Christian Coleman. Didn’t log any 2nd half minutes and his body language was not good. Sat slumped back arms folded. Didn’t really interact w anyone and didn’t celebrate big plays.

We can critique Lefty’s shooting and continued shooting but he busted his tail on the boards (11) and a huge late offensive board and put back. He also gives effort on defense. Might not always been in the right spot but hu hustles and his length helps.

I’m also a big Curry fan. Just like the way he plays. Needs to get better on D but we are just a different offensive team w him.
