Oklahoma's Attorney General Gentner Drummond has ordered an investigative audit into Oklahoma's Department of Education.

Drummond said current and former OSDE staff are raising questions about how taxpayer dollars were used while now-former Superintendent Ryan Walters was in office.

Drummond cites, "the former Superintendent’s well-established history of mishandling tax dollars, combined with new and ongoing allegations of misspending."

We already know Walters spent state tax dollars to buy 500 Trump bibles, even though doing that goes against the state constitution. Where are they now? If possible, they should be returned for a refund.

Arrest the cocky little 💩. Put him in the county jail until he pays the state back. Put a lien on his house and his mobile office (his car). Who does he think he is? Trump’s wannabe mini me.

A bunch of my teacher friends say they are breathing sigh of relief after Walters replacement sent out his first message to teachers today

OSDE new leadership can not find any contracts between the State of Oklahoma and Prager U or Lee Greenwood as Ryan had claimed

Per reporters today the following was told to then when asked about the contracts

New OSDE leadership can not locate a contract. I asked the spokesperson if that is a suggestion they may not exist, Tara Thompson says it’s a possibility what was said to the media by Ryan Walters was misrepresented.

It is hilarious what an absolute con-artist that guy is.
It is sad that it doesn't matter that he is an obvious con-artist, people who want to support that thinking will still support him.

Records newly uncovered by News 4 show the Oklahoma State Department of Education, under former State Superintendent Ryan Walters, gave federal COVID relief money to private schools that didn’t qualify—prompting concern from President Trump’s U.S. Department of Education.

I hope the Teacher Freedom Alliance ends up regretting hiring him. But it's very great that the organization hired him so he can be gotten rid of. Yet it will be interesting to see if any Republicans running for state school superintendent will try to campaign on being the next Ryan Walters.

“We can say with a great level of certainty there is no contract,” State Superintendent Lindel Fields told reporters Thursday after the Oklahoma State Board of Education meeting in Oklahoma City. “There has been no contract — at least no written contract — that has gone through legal with PragerU.”

Former State Superintendent Ryan Walters handed out two more five-figure, taxpayer-funded “performance bonuses” to top staff in his final days in office, including one to a press secretary who had only been on the job a matter of weeks.

Records: Walters paid assistant, press secretary massive bonuses during final days in office
