It is a hammerhead worm, an invasive species, there has been some found in Edmond. They kill earthworms and their slime is toxic in the same family as a puffer fish according to the WWW.

And if you chop one to pieces each piece will grow a new worm. Fire or salt or some other poison are the best ways to kill them.

Circa 1974 (14 y/o)...back yard in Merritt Island. 27.5" 7lbs.
That back yard produced sea trout, redfish, sheepshead, snook, tarpon, black drum, ladyfish and sadly a lot of saltwater cats.

Cons, tank top and jean shorts...
